Political observers were shocked late on Thursday night when Donald Trump made a comment about his son, Barron, that some deemed to be "weird."

Washington Post reporter Matt Viser quoted the president saying, "She's got a wonderful boy. She's very proud of her boy," and added, "President Trump says of First Lady Melania Trump, with whom he shares a son, Barron."

Republicans against Trump also quoted the president. "Donald Trump on Melania: 'She loves children. She's got a wonderful boy. And she's very proud of her boy,'" to which Former Republican responded with a theory and accompanying photographic evidence:

Former educator Nicole Hodges also chimed in, saying, "I think we all knew he wasn’t his."

I was never the biggest Jerry Lewis fan, but it was easy to see that the man was clearly bipolar.

GIVEN THAT, I was shocked when I saw that final interview, when I witnessed the anger, and how combative and looking for a fight he was.

And, he stiffed his kids in the will.

I don't see Don Jr, Eric, Tiffany and Barron enjoying a massive cha-CHING payday when Grampy crawls off for his dirt nap.

I could be wrong. No idea what his will would look like.

But I'd say there's a 50-50 chance that the Trump hellspawn don't see a penny of it. Same goes for Melania, unless it's written into her prenup, and she's such a viper, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

to walk around on a kid that wasn’t his. I think anybody who gives that serious thought will ultimately arrive there. They have the same stupid face, it’s just difficult to tell now because the elder is SO twisted and worn.




He often uses very strange language around his children. We know this, but I think this particular dig is deliberate. I think he’s had a little grudge going agains Mel and “her son” every since Barron, for whatever reason, did not serve as a delegate at his father’s nomination as the Republican candidate for president in 24. The announcement came from Melania’s office: Chew on that for a minute. The man was informed by the office of his own wife that his son would not be jumping through his flaming hoops for his reality TV convention. This is his way of “punishing” her or him or both.

Donald Trump's comment about son Barron at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday drew laughter from the audience. During his closing speech on Thursday night, the Republican presidential candidate thanked his "entire family" for supporting him during the RNC, which ran from Monday July 15.

"I also wanna thank my entire family for being here. Don, Kimberly, Ivanka and Jared. Eric and Lara. Tiffany and Michael. Barron," Trump said at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "We love our Barron.”

The 18-year-old, whose mother is Trump's third wife Melania, was chosen as an RNC delegate for Florida in May. Delegates cast their vote for the Republican presidential candidate on behalf of the state they represent, with Trump officially accepting the nomination on Thursday.
However, the office of Melania Trump said Barron would not be taking part in the proceedings.
"While Barron is honored to have been chosen... he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments," a statement released at the time said.
