Trump signs executive order blocking states from enforcing their own regulations around AI

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order that blocks states from enforcing their own regulations around artificial intelligence and instead aims to create a “single national framework” for AI.

“This is an executive order that orders aspects of your administration to take decisive action to ensure that AI can operate within a single national framework in this country, as opposed to being subject to state level regulation that could potentially cripple the industry,” White House aide Will Scharf said of the executive order in the Oval Office.

So now stares will have no control over Musk and friends usurping state resources.

How exactly is this supposed to work? Does the constitution allow for presidents to overrule states by fiat? I know that’s not stopped this White House so far, but I was wondering about the actual law.

This provision was struck from the ugly bill. The states will ignore this order and trump will lose any lawsuits filed to enforce this lawsuit

Too much money involved. States will tell FedGov to pound sand, what with all that anticipated A.I. tax revenue and promised infrastructure upgrades.

Countdown to the inevitable A.I. Sanctuary States, performatively if not officially, in 3... 2...
