Lobbying $ is disqualifier for me

Not from AIPAC. Not from any billionaire. I am sick of our politicians being owned. Anyone else getting to this point?

1. Our electoral process is a for-profit industry & the ones who can change it, are a subset of those who benefit from it.

What to do?

I don't know if enough Americans understand just how saturated our political system is with dark money. It's disgusting & we're finding out just how true that old bumper sticker is: We have the best democracy money can buy. Turns out, it's not all that great.

I would love to see a law requiring every bill to list which lobbyist had input, what input they provided and who they represent.

But it will never happen.

For example. I love what James Telarico says and I would donate to his campaign even though he’s not in California. But number one for me now is seeing WHO IS FUNDING HIM. Because whoever funds is who OWNS.

Sadly, I can’t bring myself to send him any of my hard earned $.
