WOULD CUP BLUES

To quote the late Ed Schultz, “ Sports is candy “, and the World Cup is a little bit away. Just an FYI for those who have no interest in the World Cup at all. For many, many people the World Cup is the Olympics, Super Bowl, and Christmas all rolled up into one event. There’s a great deal wrong with FIFA, the governing body of soccer, but when it comes to the games and the interaction of the fans it can be a wonderful thing when done right. Really special.

I really hope to be proven wrong, but it already looks like it’s going to be a sh*t show in the States. Just a damn shame.

And sports is not candy.

If you've been reading the news since the infamous "Black Sox Scandal" (1919), sports is now a subset of gambling.

There were two major gambling indictments this year.

THIS is a sports arena.

P.S. most of the sports book images on the internet have no people. Guess why?
They're ashamed to be identified in public, and the gambling houses protect the "guilty" consciences.
