And I am no authority on AI and detest being fooled by it as I've been a couple of times. I myself post what I think is on the level, although I admit that in different moods I post eratically (but not nefariously).

As for this topic goes, this podcaster is not the only one, him and the rest riffing off of some recent news events.

You can be assured that I'm sharing from uplifting-to-us motives, not to mislead if I can help it.

As far as the picture goes, I put it in the category of clickbait journo headlines that don't belong to the author of the article/video content. But I don't blame you for being skeptical and hope that you will contribute any research on "leqembi" or symptoms of the condition and its effects on the patient and caretakers and our national case.

that I sample most often - as opposed to many on our side who are, I don't know/sort of staid/unwatchable. But all of these are honest.

As for the "guessing" part, this particular one is just one of several as I said with this same topic. He didn't invent the topic, so not "guessing" as such.

Just saying that your "pretty believable Substack from a Ph.D" without further, down deep verification is in the adjacent category as this podcaster who is just relaying information. And I'm just posting something that sounds "pretty believable" to me. I have zero credentials beyond that.

There was no "leak". It was false advertising by the youtube creator (not our DU'er friend to be clear).

That's my only point on this subject, along with the fact that I've seen speculation elsewhere that the observable symptoms match FTD better than Alzheimers, and that this speculation seemed reasonable.

Instead, it was your choice to post that video here in General Discussion. Did you think it depicted an actual recorded scene of Trump and some medical professional? I don't know the answer to that question. Nor do I care.

My point was to make it clear that it is an AI image or video. There are no photos of Trump being treated by any medical person.

Many people post questionable videos and images here on DU. When I notice that, I sometimes mention it in a reply to an OP that does that. Why? Because we cannot trust images and videos these days. It's too easy to have an AI program create a video or image containing anything you can think up. That often causes confusion.

Clickbait podcasts and fake videos that use words and images that are not truthful help no cause. Instead, they provide yet one more source of inaccurate or downright faked information. Many people accept such things as truthful and share them widely.

I find that to be disturbing, since it spreads more nonsense to more people and makes truthful information questionable. Who are we to trust for information?

So, I comment on such AI crap when I recognize it. If you post it, I will comment, and so will several others who value truth as the only acceptable standard.

Do whatever you want, but do not expect that false information will not be called out. I will call it out and so will many other people here.
