Ten people are dead, including one shooter, after gunshots were fired at Bondi beach in Sydney on Sunday evening. Here’s what we know so far:

Police have confirmed 10 people have been killed in a mass shooting at Bondi beach on Sunday evening, including one shooter.
Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots early in the evening.
Shortly before 8pm they said they had two people in custody and the active shooters had been “neutralised”.
The New South Wales Ambulance service said it was called to the area at 6.45pm after reports of multiple people being shot. It later confirmed six people had been taken to local hospitals.
Video shared online from the scene showed people fleeing the beach, and distressing scenes of people lying on the ground receiving treatment.
An event celebrating the Jewish festival of Hanukkah was taking place on the beach at the time of the shooting.

Whoever he is, he's a massive hero who prevented more deaths.

The terrorist walked away from that encounter, rejoined his buddy, picked up another shotgun and resumed shooting.

I thought they might be able to avoid the worst of what we experience, given rational gun policies.

and love to all impacted, just as I send it to all of our wounded and families of those killed from the latest university shooting at Brown. Insanity that finds its own incitement in our horrendously violent world today.

The last day of our Australia/Tasmania/NZ vacation before flying back to the U.S. was spent at Bondi Beach. We walked through the wonderful Pavillion there and marveled at the public access to this beautiful place! Hate has no business there!
