YES, I made a pun in the subject line, and yes, I know both of Trump's balls would fit in a shot glass with room to spare.Trump administration says White House ballroom construction is a matter of national security
https://apnews.com/article/trump-white-house-ballroom-national-security-de9756118bbfca8f40af9cf89db6af5b
WASHINGTON (AP) The Trump administration said in a court filing Monday that the presidents White House ballroom construction project must continue for unexplained national security reasons and because a preservationists organization that wants it stopped has no standing to sue.
The filing was in response to a lawsuit filed last Friday by the National Trust for Historic Preservation asking a federal judge to halt President Donald Trumps project until it goes through multiple independent reviews and a public comment period and wins approval from Congress.
The administrations 36-page filing included a declaration from Matthew C. Quinn, deputy director of the U.S. Secret Service, the agency responsible for the security of the president and other high-ranking officials, that said more work on the site of the former White House East Wing is still needed to meet the agencys safety and security requirements. The filing did not explain the specific national security concerns; the administration has offered to share classified details with the judge in a private, in-person setting without the plaintiffs present.

(29,135 posts)1. This gives a little more credence to the speculation that his ballroom
was cover for a bigger and better bunker.

(2,653 posts)2. Unless his private donors also ponied up for the bunker underneath, I wonder who's paying for it?
Whatever a ballroom costs, I could imagine a state of the art brand new underground government doomsday bunker would run a few times more expensive than the ballroom. Esp. with Donnie Dipshit insisting on expensive surfaces, furnishings, and gold toilets throughout.
So, where is the line item in the budget, I wonder? I'd suspect he's siphoning DoD funds if I was to guess

and now everyone who didn't know before, now knows where it is.
