I'm crediting Krugman for the term.
Have all these tech billionaires not seen what happens in dictator controlled states?
How many oligarchs have Putin and Xi seen off?
Not even counting faulty upper story windows.
Any one who steps too far out of line, and you don't know where that line is on any given day or they have talked to last, gets crushed.

These so called masters of the universe, smartest people in the building, don't seem to be good at looking ahead.

1. They're sociopaths who think they are invincible and can control Trump

Putin and his pals are ex-KGB old school military dudes, paired up with the ex-soviet looters and strongmen. Trump and crew couldn't sniff their ass.

The techbros believe they are on the intellectual level of Putin, with the MAGA crazy people available to do their dirty work. The problem is they all think they are smarter than everyone else so there is a constant power struggle and tripping over their own crackpot plans.

Techbros are also ready to jump ship to New Zealand or some other private island if things go too far in the US. They have no loyality, except to themself.

This orange clown show and long term prospects are concerned. Not the broligarchs or the GOP or big business. Anyone enabling or sucking up.

How exactly do they think this is going to end, to work out long term, big picture?

Or are they just figuring they’ll all cash in while they can before getting out of Dodge and leaving the rest of us to wander the smoking ruins. I guess no one gives a rat’s about legacies etc.
