I'll start:
Instead of watching a deranged lunatic deliver a string of lies, I watched on Nugs.net a replay of Billy Strings' fall tour finale from Austin, Texas.
Now you go.

(12,443 posts)I switched on Netflix and continued watching the Q Dept series. Despite the gruesome nature of the show (murder, mayhem, vengeance kidnapping), anything is better than watching Agent Orange lie to the American public and humiliate the country for the umpteenth time.
Btw, a movie to calm the heart and soul is Train Dreams with Joel Edgerton. It's a beautiful film with superb performances. Highly recommended for the crazy times we are a-living. Available on Netflix,

(12,443 posts)I was blown away and wondered how I'd missed the film. The narrative is based on a Denis Johnson novella which I don't recall reading but plan on downloading to my Kindle.
Enjoy.

(8,524 posts)The characters are wonderfully interesting and quirky.

(12,443 posts)The characterization is a definite strong point. I like the balance of Detective Morck's instability with his clear-eyed and very decent assistant, Akram. I'm only two episodes in but there's definitely lots swirling around in the background. Acting is very good and the story thus far has kept my interest. I'm one of these movie streamers who quits early on if the story or characters fail to grab me. Life is too short.
So far, so good.

(25,959 posts)Hubs insisted on listening, thinking krasnov would break some news - nope! Just lies, lies, lies, lies, etc. is what I heard during the 1 minute I watched before walking out. Hubs even tuned out, despite his desire to watch, it was just so unwatchable and every word was a self serving lie.

(71,873 posts)A devastatingly funny film, but I found myself crying at a few points in the movie. Some of them, because of the magic of a film you know inside and out, and love to quote; and some out of sorrow for the murdered director.

(22,796 posts)I think I saw it on AMC. Its filmed in Ontario, Canada and loosely based on a true story of an event that happened there. I've always been told that black bears don't attack people, but I guess that is not always the case.
I don't know why its called a horror movie when an animal behaves according to its nature.

(11,639 posts)I'll watch any movie at least once.
There's a magazine called The Week, it's published each week.
There's an article for this week called "When The Bears Come Back" (December 19th, 2025) issue about a woman being attacked by a black bear.
I found the same article on Longreads.com if you wanted to read it. It's a little graphic but I believe an important read.
