I'm sorry to report that longtime DU member yellerpup has passed away. This news was recently reported to me by her husband, who asked that I let you all know.
I did not know yellerpup outside of DU, but I can tell you that she joined us all the way back in 2004, and posted more than 12,000 times over a twenty year period. Her last post was in October 2024, although she was still recommending posts in January of this year. She often frequented General Discussion, the Lounge, and Cooking & Baking. She was a Star Member, and a host of the Pro-Choice forum.
My condolences to her family and friends. She will be remembered at DU on our In Memoriam page.

I didn't know DUer yellerpup either, but she obviously felt the same way about social and political injustices as the rest of us. In that respect we are all diminished by her transition into another form. Her energy continues on.
My condolences to her family and friends.
