With the MAGA movement splintering, the Heritage Foundation in open civil war, I don’t think republicans are coalescing around anyone, let alone the man they detest almost as much as Ted Cruz.

The owner of the LA times, a Trump loving republican, almost certainly has friends in the tech and crypto communities, so I hope nobody here at DU is falling for this.

It’s much more likely the nominee will be someone like Kemp or Youngkin.

"privately dismissing a third term run." It's sounds so defeatist for him....Like maybe for once he will follow the Constitution. IMO, it adds fuel to the fire about his health not being so good.

misstep on the part of the GOP. JD Vance is virtually no one's idea of a presidential figure.
(and would be destroyed by virtually any Democratic candidate in a debate .. )
(and, yes - fully realize that the MAGA base isn't swayed by things like debates ... but swing voters are.)
