I've been watching YouTube videos about economic history (as well as other stuff about the Stones, the Godfather, etc)
I find the videos about the story behind the 1973 oil crisis, the real reason for the illegal Iraq invasion, how economic conditions led to WWII, etc., very interesting. Some of these are on Financial History Chronicles.
I've always been interested to know the real reasons for wars. I ran across somewhere--not Youtube, but I can't remember the source, some years ago, where it said the reason for the US getting into WWI was because the US had loaned the Allies a lot of money and they knew if Germany won the war, they'd never get the money back. And to me it had the ring of truth to it. (There may've been other reasons but I believe that was the main reason.)
If anybody out there can suggest some similar channels, or other sources about these issues, I'd like to hear about it.
Also, some of the history documentaries are real interesting. I saw one about Napoleon's invasion of Russia that I thought was very interesting.
