If you're posting to get it on the record, sure, but when we have 6 reactionary "justices" who invented presidential immunity just for Trump and a GOP controlled Congress who goes along with anything Hair Trump wants, nothing will come of these rulings.

But even with the courts being both impotent and compromised, its the only way to fight the fascist Trump regime.

(932 posts)They do "mean something" insofar as pointing out that he's not a king who can control everyone and everything. In the long run, it may seem to be inconsequential, but it's a reminder that Trump is not totally in control of everything. It's hopeful. I'm in favor of hope.

Trump is not omnipotent, and the states and the people are not powerless
Despite acting with lawless impunity, this administration has been restrained, delayed or deterred numerous times.
It is unreasonable for you to ask the DU community to ignore that.

(8,493 posts)that have me distraught. It's the fact that 10s of millions of my countrymen are all in with this racist regime and it's machinations.
This includes a certain side of my extended family. I am angry and heartbroken over it. But also disgusted. And it is hard for me to raise any empathy for them in their day to day lives. It feels like the ghost of a time gone by.

(21,916 posts)They fell for the Day One quick fix con job, but when Trump fails to deliver, and as the economy worsens, with grocery and healthcare costs skyrocketing and unemployment climbing, they arent going blame Joe Biden.

(also tend to think that the drumbeat of negative rulings has a cumulative impact within the system, and with the voting public.)
