Sadly he should have made it sooner. And the Dems shoulda had a primary. I respect Joe, I wished he had run in 2016. President Biden did so much great for our nation but failed to lead the narrative while the orange toad spent 4 years spouting unchallenged bullshit. The Joe Biden from 2012 would have eaten Trump for lunch. He wouldn't have put up with his shit. But President Biden was not the same guy in 2024. Just wasn't. Only someone deluded would think otherwise. The Joe Biden we all know was sharp, direct, a bit caustic / honest at times and could debate his ass off, watching that debate in 2024 was absolutely dreadful. He had nothing in the tank, zero. He was never gonna win and YES I believe "winning a debate" is a dumb reason to pick a President, but it's part of the hand you have to play.

Biden needed to run in 2016, I'll always believe that was a mistake that he didn't run. Also, in my cynical view I think there was machinations going on to push Hillary onto the ballot. If Joe wanted to be President (which he obviously did since he ran in 2020), why didn't he run in 2016? I wonder.

that he chose not to run in 2016 because he was mourning the death of his son Beau. It was a personal decision to take care of his family and his mental well being.

...which means a certain someone else wouldn't have been. And we know Biden would have wholeheartedly supported the eventual nominee because he's been an ardent Democrat for decades and knows both parties are NOT the same in any way, shape, or form.

So, yeah, I guess I actually would have wanted Biden to run in the 2016 primary as well, even though he wouldn't have won and probably wouldn't have gotten my vote.
