"Did you develop evidence that Trump was responsible for the violence on January 6th?"

New: The House Judiciary Committee just released (on New Year’s Eve) the transcript of Jack Smith’s testimony. As I start to read the 250 page report, this Q+A in the image below jumps out: judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

If Republicans loved America and acted accordingly. Oh My God. Country before party. If members of the military were not expected to obey illegal orders. If republicans at least frowned on those involved with pedophilia. If magas would say, Holy Cow, 34 felony convictions. Thats bad isn’t it Bubba? Maybe we shouldn’t vote for such a person.

An incredible sickness has captured A big chunk of the grand old party and assorted acoylytes.

but he is a master bully with decades of experience. Republicans never saw anyone like him rise to political power before and were not prepared for it. Plus, they evidently never had the courage of their convictions and I'm sure even Trump was amazed at how easily they fell in line.

I suppose if all those republicans were ever the great patriots that they claimed to be, they wouldn't have been so easily swayed. It turns out all those pocket constitutions and flag pins were just for show; they don't really believe in anything except political power. Of course, in some cases, I'm sure there was damaging kompromat involved as well.

And a profoundly unattractive one as well, especially in a grown man.

I suppose in a way it isn't terribly uncommon though. It reminds me of the man who abuses his wife but becomes offended if she fights back and then he tries to play the victim. In essence, he bullies and whines at the same time.

PatSEG,

You speak total truth.. I could not have said it better. This orange fool only got this far because of Republican support..Its that simple..He is a bully and not too smart!! .In addition, the Republicans could stop it ASAP but simply refuse because they are COWARDS and the U.S. flag pins on their lapels mean nothing!!!.

over-the-top display of patriotism was for political theater, but I believed that for some of them it was genuine. Well now it appears that it was always fake, except maybe for a very small handful who quit rather than be part of the Trump era insanity. The rest were playing a role to advance their political power - the ends justify the means.

... and those who are doing so are a disgrace to their uniforms and their service. In a world that actually followed through on its principles, these individuals would be cashiered and serve lengthy sentences in Leavenworth.

Trump escaped justice for Jan 6th by getting elected, and yet here we are with a political party trying to vilify the prosecutor that didn't get the chance to bring the case.

These are some crazy times.

hell he invited people to come and be wild.

"Big protest in D.C. on January 6th," he wrote, referring to the day Congress was set to formally certify Joe Biden's victory in the electoral college.

"Be there, will be wild!"

Coercion and Enticement

Would people have come if he didn't entice them?

Prosecutors don't go for an indictment if they don't think they have a good chance of winning.

I don't get it, really. There could be no "revelations" in Mr Smith's testimony, because we already know what he thought. Only if we had a line-by-line release of all the evidence he and his team collected would we find any revelations. His opinions, with respect, matter no more than anyone else's.
