So the next year will be about the show trial of Maduro and not Epstein or the economy

Maybe Trump will appoint Marcia Clark as Special Prosecutor for Maduro. Just watch, the Supremes will suddenly allow televised trials in federal court and we will get tariff free popcorn to watch the Greatest Show on Earth take place in the heart of New York City. A deflection such as never seen before, to paraphrase Trump.

1. I predict Maduro's televised hanging.

Saddam Hussein's hanging wasn't televised live, but cell phone videos of Saddam being led to the gallows were shared across global media.

The trial will be before a jury in New York City and there will have to be hard evidence to convict him. What if he is acquitted?

It is not going to change the outlook of all the people who are struggling economically. They are still weary of the results of the Iraq war. An interesting aspect is the fact that the administration has removed protected status for Venezuelan immigrants. I don't know that it is a slam dunk that they will get a conviction.
Trump is very susceptible to delusions because of his narcissism. This is another one of them.

7. I think we have to consider that Trump truly doesn't represent US citizens at all

Aside from his incredible level of narcissism, he serves the super rich tech leaders and international economic forces.

And the regime is batting zero right now with Tish James and James Comey. Unless there's actual evidence, this could very well blow up in his fat orange face. Plus, he's a foreign head of state. Snatched from foreign sovereignty in the middle of the night. I'm certainly no legal expert, but it seems to me that Donnie is stomping around in a legal mine field. The minions are just doing whatever the rambling old fool tells them, legal or not.

The other distractions weren't working. So here he goes, upping the distraction level to a 10. I'm not sure where he can go from this one.

about what happens to Maduro. Not when they can barely afford groceries and now that the ACA enhanced subsidies have expired, can't get the healthcare they need. Life just got way more expensive. Except for the most MAGAfied and News junkies, most folks won't give a damn.

No other regime changes?
Maduro gets a trial? on TV?

I am cynical enough to expect that 2026 will bury this Maduro thing under:

war on Iran
regime change or color revolution in Columbia
a stand off over Taiwan
"$2,000" tariff checks issued during the midterms elections and signed by orange guy
endless culture war trolling for the midterms
ballrooms, arts centers, victory arches and golf courses
invasion of a former colonial country in Africa, likely Niger
a major spike in beef prices
etc.

If the non-build-up to this attack is any indication then there is no appetite for making media about Maduro. The illusion of self-governance in south america is only preserved by keeping these things as brief as possible. Maduro will be less of a blip than Grenada or the Falklands.

That could change. But it'll be years before this comes to trial, if ever. We still haven't had a trial or tribunal for those arrested for 911.
