Sometimes I will listen to Katy Tur before I tune in Deadline Whitehouse

But with her husband over at cbs? Just cannot do it.

It’s ridiculous to ever take her seriously again.

Yeah yeah bring on the criticisms…. I would only tune in to see what guests she might have on.

But today? No can do. Will wait until 2pm NM time. See what deadline Whitehouse offers up.

slips on occasion), then that home must be a lot of fun, given hubby's attempt to ingratiate himself and convert to a Bari Weiss/Trumpist bootlicker.

I still remember his incredibly unprofessional conduct re: Ta-Nehisi Coates, when Tony Doukoupil came literally "loaded for bear" to go after Coates re: Israel and to somehow "expose" the latter as some kind of extremist. Wiki has a pretty good summary and apparently many saw that video and reacted as I did (and I was really walking the line especially then to try to give benefit-of-the-doubt to people expressing civil opinions on both sides... but:

On September 30, 2024, Dokoupil discussed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with author Ta-Nehisi Coates during the latter's appearance on CBS Mornings to promote the book The Message. Dokoupil implied that the book "reads like the work of an extremist" and questioned Coates about his opinion regarding Israel's right to exist. Some CBS staffers were angered by the interview, and CBS executive Adrienne Roark said that an internal review found that it did not meet network standards.[20][21][22] Dokoupil was defended by Paramount chair Shari Redstone and other CBS staffers, including chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford, who said that a journalist is obliged to ask tough questions when interviewing someone presenting a one-sided view.[23][24][25]

So, apparently that was part of what appealed to Bari Weiss.

First question: Why is getting rid of Maduro a bad thing? Later: What do you say to the exiled Venezuelans who are celebrating the exile of Maduro? First of all, Katy, Murphy never said it was a bad thing. So why should he be asked to defend a statement he never made? Nice RW talking point though.
