FLOP SWEAT UPDATE: Dokoupil "trusts you" to watch his MAGAt "news" show and "decide for yourself."

At the end of his Tuesday program, which featured a 13-minute interview with President Donald Trump at a Ford factory that was drowned out by machinery, the anchor made a forced appeal to viewers.

“You may not agree with everything you hear on this broadcast, but we trust you to listen, and we trust you to decide for yourself,” Dokoupil said.

He took a deep breath before signing off with his closing line, “And that’s another day in America.”

Dokoupil was given the anchor seat by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, an anti-woke opinion journalist who was installed in the job by CBS’ new owner, David Ellison, a Trump-friendly billionaire nepo-baby.

The uphill battle this weenie faces is that the article states it in a very clear and unambiguous manner.

Weiss really is nothing more than an "anti woke opinion blogger," who was installed by Larry Ellison's nepo baby.

That's truly the 25 word or less version of how he got the gig.

Not because of talent. Not because of insight or experience.

He got the gig because of Ellison's addiction to owning the libs and propping up Trump.

Stopped watching abc and nbc during covid, when they started doing what seemed like the et (entertainment tonight) model of stories, i.e. 30 sec sound bites with no deep dives or follow ups. Will occasionally watch local if there is bad weather, but otherwise mostly use guardian for news.

She probably loves that syrupy shit. Mr. Rogers of PBS fame was a nice guy, but I wouldn't have wanted to get my news from him.

Walter Cronkite's farts had more integrity than her and Dokoupil.
