I never thought we'd be in a situation as deep as we were with Nixon. But we've gone deeper. Nixon was terrible. Trump is deplorable. I just pray we'll get through this. With the lackeys Trump has in Congress and the Supreme Court, it's difficult to see right now. But we got through January 6. We can do it again.

and he smeared and red-baited Helen Gahagan Douglas when he ran for Senate, long before the corruption he displayed during the Watergate era.

But the POS is quite a few orders of magnitude worse than Nixon-- a hell of a lot more corrupt.

I remember the night Nixon announced he would resign the following day. I thought we'd never see so corrupt a president. But then came Reagan, Bush the Elder, and W with Cheney. Each was -- at the very least -- as corrupt as Nixon.

I guess I thought people were smart enough to see Nixon's mistakes and learn from them and clean up their acts that were similar. How naive I was back then!!

Some argue the destabilization of Cambodia led to the KR. Extending the war another 4 years didn't do any good. Trump doesn't even budge the needle in comparison.
