NEW: Jonathan Ross, the ICE thug who murdered Renee Good, was NOT TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL according to police reports. He was taken to the Federal Building. He was NOT INJURED. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/01...

(7,160 posts)cold blooded murder. He was not in any danger. He needs to be brought to justice IN MINNESOTA.

(68,395 posts)All I have heard is that he suffered internal bleeding to the torso. The federal building in Minneapolis might be equipped with a health care center. The one where I worked was. He could have been seen in such a center by a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
Full disclosure: I am not hanging on every word.

(2,918 posts)the many video breakdowns over the past week. She was barely moving at that point, and he leaned into the vehicle to cause the contact. He was in control of how hard he was, or was not, struck.
Also, had the theoretical NP seen him at the Federal Building, if there were signs of remotely significant internal bleeding, he'd have been sent to the hospital.
To answer your question, I asked AI, take it for what it's worth:
- Homeland Security Secretary **Kristi Noem** told reporters on Jan. 7 that Jonathan Ross was hit by the vehicle, **went to the hospital, was treated by a doctor, and was released the same day**. [cbsnews](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-officer-who-shot-renee-good-internal-injuries-sources-say/)
- DHS officials later told outlets like CBS News, USA Today, and ABC that Ross **suffered internal bleeding to his torso** when he was struck by her vehicle, and confirmed that he was **seen by doctors at a local hospital and discharged later that day**. [usatoday](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2026/01/14/ice-agent-jonathan-ross-injured-internal-bleeding-torso/88182659007/)
So at the official level, the line has consistently been: **struck by her SUV → internal bleeding → treated at a hospital → released same day.** Whether thats medically or factually credible is what critics are now disputing, but the hospitalization claim itself clearly originated from DHS and top administration officials.
Despite AI's first line there, it seems you're right to question the "taken to" framing of the OP, nobody said he was "taken to", only that he "went to" or "was seen by doctors at".

(68,395 posts)I have a low threshold for finding out what the Project 25 crowd is up to on a day-to-day basis.
USA Today says that he was discharged. Can you be discharged without having been admitted? If you receive treatment at an ER, are you "discharged" following that treatment?
I am not a health care orifessional, but to me, "internal bleeding in the torso" is serious stuff. As in, you're a bullrider, you're bucked by the bull, you land on the ground, and the bull stomps on your chest or abdomen. This can be fatal. You definitely do not walk away.
And good evening.

(11,667 posts)the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.

(5,616 posts)One must leave the federal building and then enter the medical center to get treatment. They do not occupy the same building. I dont believe this story at all given the exaggerated nature of its claim we can all see that mister powerful iceman moved around with ease as she started trying to turn the car, firing one shot through the windshield that was extremely close to the edge and then two more from the side. Immediately proceeding this he put his phone away in order to draw his weapon. He wasnt injured in the slightest, and the idea he has torn or ruptured organs bleeding out into body cavities strikes me as ludicrous.
And of course, given that this regime will freely lie about matters even when video evidence undermines their claims, this should be regarded as deceitful and shallow propaganda.

I expect it from the right, but it's disgusting to see the usual cop-humpers coming up with reasons to defend this killer even - ahem - close to home.

I've practiced cardiothoracic surgery for 30 years, & I'd be the one you'd call to deal with hemothorax and/or cardiac tamponnade secondary to blunt force trauma. Everything this physician says is 100% accurate. There was nothing visible that could be considered the mechanism of injury for the above

Nor does Ross show any signs of having sustained such significant blunt force trauma as he saunters back to his car and flees the scene. In any case, no patient admitted with "internal bleeding to the torso" (whatever the fuck that means) would be discharged the same day to "be with his family" .

(882 posts)We can all see he wasn't injured. There was little to no contact with the vehicle. If he did show up with an injury, even that wouldn't prove anything because one of his buddies could have just hit him with something to cause a bruise after he fled the scene.

(2,341 posts)Come on, Walz, Frey and Ellison. Speeches are not enough. You do not need any help from the FBI. You have easy access to enough evidence to convict this guy ten times over. What are you waiting for? You could have had an arrest warrant within 2 hours of the killing.

(2,341 posts)But that is completely beside the point. We don't need any bullshit speeches about how if we all just stay calm, the system will take care of itself. These people are all afraid of upsetting Baby Donnie. Well, I have news for everybody. Nothing gets better by letting his campaign of retribution go without any resistance. There is absolutely no excuse for not having an arrest warrant by now.
That would be a clear signal to all the ICE thugs that they could end up in prison for their actions. Even if we can't arrest him immediately, he would not be free to move on his own. He might be safe in FL or TX. But with an arrest warrant, he sure couldn't come back to MN, or go to any of the other states where Trump is sending his thugs, for fear of arrest, leading to a long prison term.
Seriously, he could be looking at a life sentence. There could have been an argument for manslaughter -- until the ICE people denied a doctor's care while the victim was still alive. That makes it murder because it is a deliberate, planned act.
But that is all for a jury to decide. Right now, the first step is to show the people we are going to do more than bullshit, empty speeches. We must use the means that are available, and that means prosecuting under the laws of Minnesota, no matter if it makes Trump poop even more in his diapers.
Honestly, I can't believe so many Dems have so many excuses why we can't do anything. This is why we have lost half the people who once identified as Democrats.
Do something. Something more than empty speeches. People can forgive us if we try and fail. They can't stand watching Democrats not even try.

(540 posts)He was tearing around the area like he warming up for a game after he was supposedly "run over" and managed to easily pull out his gun and shoot into a moving vehicle, which is against protocol. Now they are saying he had internal bleeding in his chest. All lies! All of their stories have nary a molecule of truth in them.
Most people would be mortified at making up such tall tales. But they are shameless.
