My thoughts on Michael Cohen
I was fully planning to write about something else today.
. . .
(Lots of stories of JoJo's mistakes - like most of us. Please read her article.)
. . .
. . .
My inner compass was clear about Michael Cohen. It wasn't dramatic. It didn't need to be. It just sat there the whole time, persistent and irritating, nudging me whenever something felt off, whenever the story tilted and my brain rushed in to smooth it over.
I ignored it.
I don't get to pretend otherwise.
This is who he has always been. I didn't need anyone to tell me that. He earned his place by doing Donald Trump's dirty work for years, by lying and threatening and enforcing silence because that was the job and he was more than willing to do it.
None of that disappeared. I just chose not to look at it too closely. I kept finding ways to explain it away, to believe that time and consequences had changed him, when what I was really doing was turning my face from what was right in front of me.
In case you missed it, I'm writing this now because Michael just gave an exclusive interview to the Daily Mail claiming he was "forced and coerced" into his testimony against Donald Trump in the Stormy Daniels case.
