...don't get what tariffs are.
They are only a moderate, and risky, economic tool, not a cudgel for foreign policy
There is zero evidence that tariffs will do anything but harm to all parties, including the impose, if used for anything but the intended purpose.
Just stupid.

Otherwise, the opinion may look obsolete on the same day it's published.

I have no doubt the mechanics of tariffs have been explained to him again and again and again and again and again. And again.

But his mind is made up, he loves tariffs, they're better than mom's chicken soup for what ails ya, so stop trying to confuse him with facts -- or else.
