'Line has been drawn': Allies warn of $100+ billion retaliation for Trump's new tariffs

America's allies in Europe warned on Sunday that they are prepared to move forward with a more than $100 billion plan to retaliate for President Donald Trump's latest round of tariffs, according to a new report.

On Saturday, Trump imposed new 10% tariffs on all goods from six EU countries, the U.K., and Norway, in an attempt to up the ante in his bid to acquire Greenland from the Kingdom of Denmark. On Sunday, diplomats from the bloc's 27 governments met to affirm their options to "fight back" against the tariffs, Politico's European bureau reported.

“It’s clear that a line has been drawn and enough is enough,” said one diplomat with knowledge of Sunday's talks. “But at the moment we are discussing options — if Trump’s tariffs are imposed, then we will be discussing not what options there are but which options to use.”

That’s the only thing he responds to. Anything else is a sign of weakness to him and he will come back for more.

Why would anybody come halfway around the world to be subjected to Trumpian travel bullshit and then deal with Cletus, Bubba and TJ with automatic weapons at every US venue?

Good, services, tourism. Everything. America needs to hit rock bottom before an intervention and recovery can happen.

I never imagined we’d be regarded as a full-on rogue nation by much of the rest of the world.

But it’s happening right before our eyes.

I think the only thing we can realistically work toward is a Democratic victory in November. In the House, the Senate, and in governorships across the country. And the more he alienates his own voters, the bigger a midterm victory WE’LL generate.

That, dear friends, is Job ONE.

It's almost impossible to believe we've sunk so far, so fast. Those people who thought the cost of eggs was more important than our democracy and our standing in the world should suffer eternal shame.
