First, a threat, a short delay before action then actual action. It's the only way Congress might feel threatened enough to act. This loon will not stop on his own, too many yes men and ladies.
End cooperation in the World Cup, threaten partipation in the Olympics, threaten the closure of American bases. Tax the hell out of all Tr*mp properties, begin Street maintenance at all of those properties. Cause delays on incoming flights. End cooperation in joint exercises. Pick any or all of the above. Sure it's harsh, but the majority of Americans will understand and will probably applaud you for it.
We truly are the ugly Americans, now. We don't seem to be able to get our sh*t together (Congress) so once again, we have to rely on the goodness of our European friends in a time of need.
When the MAGA's and non voters put this vile excuse for a walking, talking, non-thinking excuse of a human being in office, they made us a Russian satellite Nation.
If billionaires, law firms, the press, military leaders, Congress and some of the Judiciary don't stand up to him, what chance does the ordinary citizen stand against this demented fool with his army of arse kissing clowns. We sure could use some Ukrainian heart.
Those are very good suggestions.

(14,592 posts)Some may be serious, like the abduction of Maduro. Because it was possible both militarily, and politically.
Some are on the edge of serious, like taking over Greenland and Canada. But if there became an excuse, like a successful false flag operation, and their was opportunity, those last two can move to a serious threat.
Firing the Chairman of the Federal Reserve
Striking Iran again
Taking over Gaza

(175,724 posts)I believe that trump's tariffs will hurt US consumers far more than these tariffs will hurt the countries supporting Denmark.

I am glad that I am off Ozempic since that drug comes from Denmark.
There may be a fun economic war between Europe and trump over Greenland.

trump's obsession with Greenland is really sick and hopefully Europe and Congress can force trump to back down

The letter reportedly ties Norways Nobel Peace Prize decision to Greenland, questions Denmarks right of ownership, and declares the world isnt secure unless the U.S. has Complete and Total Control of Greenland.
PBSs Nick Schifrin reported the text was obtained from multiple officials and circulated by NSC staff to European ambassadors.
It reads like a meme.
Its not.

Here is another version

(21,990 posts)the tech bros may want some of their money back. The increased tariffs will go into trumps pocket to make up for any losses. He is already shaking them down for more by rattling the energy costs for data centers.

In fact, according to Trump, because Norway hurt his feelings by failing to give him an award he wanted but did not earn, he no longer feels an obligation to think purely of Peace......
The senator added regarding the American president, He isnt OK. Hes degraded significantly in the last year and hes about to get us into a war with our allies. Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii sounded a similar note, adding, I dont see how you can be a serious person and not find this extremely worrisome. He is not stable at all and his reality is warped.
One senator, however, took an additional step down the same path. HuffPost reported:
Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) is calling on President Donald Trumps Cabinet and Vice President JD Vance to remove him from office via the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution over his latest threat to Greenland. [ ]
Invoke the 25th Amendment, Markey replied, referring to a constitutional process by which the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet can declare a president unable to perform his duties. If the president contests that declaration, Congress would ultimately decide whether he remains in power.
....If the American president is aware of such concerns about his mental stability and fitness for office, hes not showing it. On the contrary, hours after his bonkers message to the Norwegian prime minister reached the public, Trump leaked a private message from French President Emmanuel Macron and used his social media platform to promote weird images, including one that showed a map of the Western Hemisphere in which Greenland, Canada and Venezuela are under American control.
Lars-Christian Brask, deputy speaker of the Danish parliament, told Sky News, If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate and the House to start to take control of the political power in America, because with this mad and erratic behavior, you have to ask the question: Is the president capable of running the United States?
Under the circumstances, that need not be a rhetorical question.
