Batsh*t Crazy Psychopath Trump "no longer feels an obligation to think purely of Peace" after Nobel statement

“Dear Jonas,” the president wrote to Norway’s prime minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.

“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT.”

Even by Trump’s standards, this letter is so delusional and dangerous that there is no longer any question that the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” as laid out in the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.

Two things that could be true at the same time..

1. The LAPD tampered with evidence in order to increase chances of a conviction.
2. O.J. Simpson was guilty of the murders.

O.J. had about a 50/50 chance of conviction based on the evidence alone.
The chance for conviction went down as that evidence was shown to be handled carelessly, perhaps maliciously.

LAPD's racist record and ongoing actions destroyed their case.

I was born the year the Civil Rights Act was ratified. That means I grew up in the immediate post-Jim Crow South, where the law changed but the attitudes didn't. I have been surrounded by people who yearned for a romanticized oligarchy, a feudal system built atop human captivity, bloody torture and widespread misery for all but the very top of the social scale.

I have had no illusions how awful many people are inside. I've heard them voice it all my life.

It's the malevolent group of Heritage Foundation 'intellectuals,' malcontents, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, Christian nationalists and billionaire greed heads who knew their ideas and policies were unpopular, losers at the ballot box if fully exposed.

What to do?

Overturn a 250-year old Constitutional Republic and replace it with their idea of Nirvana--an autocratic state that imposes its will and total control on the American public, minority rule. Now, they're in the process of reshaping the country in their own image, one based on hate, grievance, greed, extortion and violence.

Any push back? They're quite willing to crack heads, open detention/concentration/reeducation camps, send in the militias (ICE), even the US military to seal the deal. This is the fight we're engaged in.

This movement has had time to plan, organize, set the pieces into motion. The whole enterprise is based on lies and hyperbole. Kevin Roberts said the quiet part out loud:

We are in the midst of a second American Revolution, bloodless if the Left allows it.

Roberts was shutdown before the 2024 election because revealing the intention of these weasels was the last thing they wanted.

And here we are. Fighting for our lives.

Treaty of the Danish West Indies

Ratification: The treaty was ratified by Denmark in December 1916 and by the U.S. in January 1917.

During 1916, the two sides agreed to a sale price of $25,000,000, and the United States accepted a Danish demand for a declaration stating that they would "not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland".[12][18] Although it had a claim on northern Greenland based on explorations by Charles Francis Hall[19] and Robert Peary, the United States decided that the purchase was more important, especially because of the nearby Panama Canal.[

Does the insane pedo think he can rule over those people like the were serfs being sold with the land?

How does his broken brain account for the people there? Does he see them as a bunch of children to sexually abuse? Does he see them as silent accessories to acquire? Does he expect them to willingly join the kingdom of Trump? Does he expect to kill off everyone in Greenland so he can turn it over to Putin?

Denmark doesn't really "own" Greenland. The people of Greenland have agreed to be part of Denmark. If they don't want to be serfs to a pedophile mad man, they don't have to be, no matter what weapons the pedo throws at them.

90. His brain is both broken and malignantly narcissistic.
Mon Jan 19, 2026, 04:30 PM
Monday

Malignant narcissism is an extreme combination of narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. It combines the grandiosity and paranoia of narcissism with the psychopath's complete disregard for the feelings, needs, and suffering of others. This means Trump doesn’t see or relate to other humans the way most of us do, because he's incapable of it. Other humans are just props to him. He sees every other human as either a source of something he wants or a hindrance to getting what he wants. He has no more concern for the well being of anyone else than a little kid playing with toy soldiers has for the little green plastic men he manipulates while playing war with them.

That is what the people of Greenland are to him: objects to either ignore manipulate as he sees fit. That's what all of us - every human on planet Earth - are to him. He sees us all as accessories, as you put it. We should never allow ourselves to lose sight of this fact, because it is key to who and what he is.

Trump is a very dangerous man. His dementia is removing his inhibitions bit by bit, making him more and more dangerous as time goes on. If more Americans were aware of his true nature, he never would have been elected the first time, much less reelected. But here we are, and at this point in time, he is surrounded and protected by people who either don't recognize the way he has manipulated them or are manipulating him to their own ends.

CONFIRMED: Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has acknowledged Trump’s letter is real.

The letter reportedly ties Norway’s Nobel Peace Prize decision to Greenland, questions Denmark’s “right of ownership,” and declares the world isn’t secure unless the U.S. has “Complete and Total Control of Greenland.”

PBS’s Nick Schifrin reported the text was obtained from multiple officials and circulated by NSC staff to European ambassadors.

It reads like a meme.

I can’t even think of one. The closest is the ceasefire in Gaza that is actually a total sham. Israel violates it every day with continued murders of Palestinians, including the use of drone attacks on refugees in tents with no protection. He certainly didn’t stop Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine. He had nothing to do with stopping war in Syria. He’s done nothing in Sudan or Yemen or any other place in Africa.

What can he be referring to in his fevered little brain!

Mon Jan 19, 2026, 10:50 AM
Monday

"It is new that we within the NATO alliance have a country that claims territory from another country. And do not rule out that it will happen with military force. What happened this weekend is also new, that Trump is coming up with punitive tariffs as a political tool against seven countries that have sent military personnel to Greenland as part of NATO's work and planning for security in the Arctic

There were two colonels from the Armed Forces' operational headquarters in Bodø who went [to Greenland] with colleagues to plan. Trump comments on this as a threat to world peace. He is imposing a 10 percent tariff on Norway and the other countries from February 1, it is said, and an increase later this year if he does not get Greenland. This is unacceptable. We must say that clearly. Norway supports the Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It is up to the Danes and Greenlanders to decide the future of Greenland.

Over the past year, the seven countries in NATO have been working on an Arctic strategy that the other NATO countries have nodded to. They have also nodded to the fact that these militaries are going up to map out possible planning. So has the United States. That is necessary to say. As I told President Trump the first time I met him: 100 kilometers from my border to the north is the world's largest nuclear arsenal. It is not aimed at me, Mr. President, but at you.

We will work to ensure that tariffs do not come. It has happened before that Trump has announced tariffs that will not come. We are at work for you, and we will work to ensure that this does not happen."

Treaty of the Danish West Indies

Ratification: The treaty was ratified by Denmark in December 1916 and by the U.S. in January 1917.

During 1916, the two sides agreed to a sale price of $25,000,000, and the United States accepted a Danish demand for a declaration stating that they would "not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland".[12][18] Although it had a claim on northern Greenland based on explorations by Charles Francis Hall[19] and Robert Peary, the United States decided that the purchase was more important, especially because of the nearby Panama Canal.[

...Norwegian Nobel Committee? Yes, it is comprised of Norwegian nationals selected by the Storting (the Norwegian parliament,) but it is a private body tasked with awarding a private prize on behalf of Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel's estate. It does not actually represent the Norwegian government.

I guess it does not matter either way...

But the 25th Amendment is seriously DOA unless the president is truly incapacitated to the extent that he can't write a letter on his behalf--and even then I'm sure Stephen Miller would write it and take it to the SCOTUS...and probably win.

It is DOA otherwise because it is even harder for Congress to pass a 25th Amendment vote than it is to impeach a president. This is because IF the cabinet invokes it and then the president writes a letter saying he isn't in fact incapacitated, the 25th Amendment requires Congress to determine "by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office."

Impeachment only requires a simple majority in the House--but then a two-thirds majority in the Senate.

It is far more likely that nature will bail us out than that Congress will ever have a full two-thirds of both Houses (357 members out of 535 total) agree to do what is right.

It is fascinating how many people allow corporations, politicians, religious leaders, and other people that do not have their best interests at heart to shape what things they believe are facts and what things they believe are fake.

70. MaddowBlog-Trump connects his Greenland crusade to his failure to win a Nobel Peace Prize
Mon Jan 19, 2026, 01:03 PM
Monday

“I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,” the president said in a truly bizarre text message to Norway's prime minister.

In case there were any doubts, that utterly bonkers message Trump sent to the Norwegian prime minister? It’s entirely real.

He effectively argued, in writing, that his crusade for Greenland is partly the result of the Nobel committee hurting his feelings. #madking www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

Steve Benen (@stevebenen.com) 2026-01-19T15:39:53.345Z

https://www.ms.now/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/trump-connects-his-greenland-crusade-to-his-failure-to-win-a-nobel-peace-prize

But in case these circumstances didn’t seem quite ridiculous enough, Trump managed to take matters to a whole new level in a message he sent over the weekend to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, in which he suggested part of his Greenland crusade is rooted in his failure to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

The message, first published by PBS, read in its entirety:

Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Thank you! President DJT

....For now, let’s not dwell on the fact that Trump’s message was filled with several factual errors (he has not, for example, “stopped” eight wars). Let’s also brush past the fact that he apparently believes the Norwegian government is responsible for awarding Nobel prizes (it’s not).

Let’s instead consider the nature of the American president’s pitch: Norway hurt his feelings by failing to give him an award he wanted but did not earn, which means he no longer feels “an obligation to think purely of Peace,” and which further leads him to believe that the NATO alliance should simply let him buy an arctic island, which isn’t for sale and which does not want to be part of the United States, with money he does not have.

There’s been an ongoing conversation for quite a while about whether Trump deserves to be seen as a “mad king.” As the public digests his message to the Norwegian prime minister, it’s likely that conversation is poised to grow considerably louder.

I saw it and I'm a nobody. I have no access to special information or insight. I said as much back when he was openly lobbying for the Nobel Prize, that when he was no longer in the running for the award, he would drop the pretense and let his worse self seize the wheel.

How did I know? Because I have lived my life among humans and paid attention to personality types. I've watched other folks for 60-plus years and that experience combined with what I learned about psychology, sociology and history in school showed me who Trump really was and what his tendencies were.

Anyone could have seen this so I don't want to hear any shock or surprise.

The Nobel committee needs to create a one-off Nobel War Prize and award it to Trump. Make sure it's large with plenty of gold, perhaps in the shape of the German Reichsadler. This would be celebrating a crowning achievement for creating global and domestic chaos and domination, for enriching the elites who benefit financially, and for suppressing the remainder of the populace who are considered undesirable unless they kneel down in submission, in which case they've lost all respect.

1. Stop the aggression.
2. Undo everything you've done in the past year.
3. Return everyone ICE has kidnapped, including Maduro
4. Apologize to NATO
5. Return all the money you have stolen
6. Order the complete release of the un-redacted Epstein files.
7. Fire your cabinet members and staff

9. Turn yourself in to the police
10. Stay off of social media for the rest of your life.

worse as his illness progresses. There's going to come a time (probably sooner rather than later) when he will become so insane that he will be a clear and obvious existential threat to Americans and others in the world.

At that point the only options will be impeachment and removal from office, or the invoking of the 25th amendment.

The problem with either solution is that the support of Republican politicians will be required.

So the questions is: when he starts driving the country and the world off the cliff in a way that is apparent to all but the die hard cultists; will enough Republicans support his removal from office, or just watch the car go off the cliff?

20 years ago I would have had no doubt the Repubs would put the brakes on this. Now I'm not so sure.

114. MaddowBlog-Trump's weird letter to Norway's prime minister renews 25th Amendment talk

Tuesday

The last time the president confronted chatter about the 25th Amendment, it was in the immediate aftermath Jan. 6.

The last time Trump confronted public chatter about the 25th Amendment, it was in the immediate aftermath of Jan. 6.

It’s good to see at least some evidence of this returning to the fore. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

Steve Benen (@stevebenen.com) 2026-01-20T13:57:34.069Z

https://www.ms.now/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/trumps-weird-letter-to-norways-prime-minister-renews-25th-amendment-talk

It was a message that might as well have been written in crayon. A day after Donald Trump announced new tariffs on several European countries — economic penalties that would remain in place, he said, until his demands to acquire Greenland are met — the president sent a truly ridiculous message to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, in which the Republican suggested part of his Greenland crusade is rooted in his failure to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

In fact, according to Trump, because Norway hurt his feelings by failing to give him an award he wanted but did not earn, he no longer feels “an obligation to think purely of Peace.”.....

The senator added regarding the American president, “He isn’t OK. He’s degraded significantly in the last year and he’s about to get us into a war with our allies.” Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii sounded a similar note, adding, “I don’t see how you can be a serious person and not find this extremely worrisome. He is not stable at all and his reality is warped.”

One senator, however, took an additional step down the same path. HuffPost reported:

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) is calling on President Donald Trump’s Cabinet and Vice President JD Vance to remove him from office via the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution over his latest threat to Greenland. […]

‘Invoke the 25th Amendment,’ Markey replied, referring to a constitutional process by which the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet can declare a president unable to perform his duties. If the president contests that declaration, Congress would ultimately decide whether he remains in power.

....If the American president is aware of such concerns about his mental stability and fitness for office, he’s not showing it. On the contrary, hours after his bonkers message to the Norwegian prime minister reached the public, Trump leaked a private message from French President Emmanuel Macron and used his social media platform to promote weird images, including one that showed a map of the Western Hemisphere in which Greenland, Canada and Venezuela are under American control.

Lars-Christian Brask, deputy speaker of the Danish parliament, told Sky News, “If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate and the House to start to take control of the political power in America, because with this mad and erratic behavior, you have to ask the question: Is the president capable of running the United States?”

Under the circumstances, that need not be a rhetorical question.
