When they start dumping US bonds. This time there’s no flight to safety here, because we are the cause.

And they certainly should. Europe should use every financial tool/weapon available to stop this insanity.

There was a FB meme recently, something like I knew fascism would be cruel but I didn't think it would be so stupid. They're on a Venezuela high & very full of themselves right now but they are some of the most incompetent bastards I've ever seen. That said, we're living the transition to a new world order. We're not going back, as the 2024 popular campaign phrase expressed.

"We're not going back, as the 2024 popular campaign phrase expressed" ?

I'm not sure if that was your intention, but those words sound terribly "resigned"....I don't know how you feel, but in my view, it's a tad early to be "giving up"

But if anyone thinks the old world order, with trust in the USA is coming back, well that's just not happening. The ugly underside of America showed itself to the world & it won't matter what sane democrat we might elect to the White House in 2028, we have a serious credibility problem with our traditional allies. Decades of good will squandered in less than a year.

but I might disagree with this "ugly underside of America" view...I'd say it's more the "ugly underside" of the Right Wing, which is not, as we know, confined to America.

The fascist pig is not stupid, ignorant, yes, but not stupid. The fascist pig is following Putin's game plan. Implementing everything he can to destroy the world order. The fascist pig is ignorant to the fact that this game plan will destroy him, too. I look at my grandchildren and a deep sadness wells inside of me...
