'He is running in 2028': MAGA loyalist Steve Bannon on Trump's long-term agenda

Washington: Donald Trump’s strategic forays into Greenland and Canada – and his architectural projects in Washington – are long-term endeavours that show the 79-year-old US president will seek an unconstitutional third term in 2028 to “save the country”, MAGA loyalist Steve Bannon says.

In an interview with this masthead to mark the one-year anniversary of Trump’s return to office, Bannon said that when the time came, he could and would “drive a Mack truck through the 22nd Amendment” of the US Constitution, which forbids a person being elected president more than twice, to keep Trump in power.

“You’re in the age of Trump, and that age is far from being over,” Bannon said.

“You look at the long-term plans he’s got with Greenland, with Canada. I think he’s telling you he’s got a long-term plan to save the country. And this is why it puts him at the level of [former presidents George] Washington and [Abraham] Lincoln.

The public has never heard of any "long terms plans" for either place, and how the fuck does he think he's going to be making plans for Canada period? I think Steve supposedly kicked the sauce at one point (I do remember noticing he started looking less like a raging alkie for a time), but I have to think if that was ever real, it probably ain't anymore. Based on reading on the words alone, it sounds like some inebriated ramblings

but I guess Bannon feels the need to kiss Trump's ass for just a little longer,
before he declares his actual candidacy!

(not the I think he would have much chance against the couch-humper,
or Pedophile Jr., but who knows???)

Bannon probably much like Trump---
throw shit against the wall trying to see what will stick

I'll give Mr. Bannon this much: we've definitely been in "the age of Trump" for at least a decade now, and society as we knew it is basically fucked as a result. Even granting that some of the fuckery originated from other sources, F47 has inflicted far more than the typical presidential share of fear, misery, anger, and distrust upon the population, along with a commensurately disproportional contribution of promises that "he alone can fix it" and other rube-fooling pablum. So basically, oh well whatever never mind.

Who’s to stop him Honestly? Federal courts? The Supreme Court? The only hope is McDonald’s.

The state of this country is actually worse than folks want to acknowledge. Congress gave up years ago. The courts are not holding. There’s no accountability from what I can see. The country is failing the test.

I think he's going to crack-down on the elections this fall and give us a Venezuelan congress... one picked by the president himself. We will get the color of an election and then yes, his paid for congress will repeal the law or they'll simply just ignore it. The supreme court will just call it unconstitutional and that will be that...

That' exactly what they are thinking. I don't know if it will work but it seems to be.
