Mark Carney's full speech at Davos (full transcript at link below - great read):

This is the best speech, just from a pure rhetoric perspective - its sophistication and persuasiveness - that I've seen a politician deliver in a good long while. Really recommend watching or reading the whole thing.

Here it is the transcript in full:

Mark Carney's speech really is terrific: full text is here and very much worth your time.

The more they stand up to Trump, the more likely the money people start putting the screws on Washington to do something.

Listened to both he and Trump today - the contrast is off-the-charts.

I see a strong possibility he will go down as one of Canada's greatest PMs. A very good man rising to very bad times.

His work on the trade front is laudable, but he must also take concrete steps to ensure the defence of Greenland (and Ukraine) now- Canadian boots should be on the ground in Greenland ASAP, and other defensive steps, such as denying the US military permission to fly in Canadian airspace, must be considered.
