Brooke "Happy Meal" Rollins wants to Trumpsplain something to you peons....
That's right, listen up you unwashed peasants:
Rollins wants you to know that it is NOT that the economy is bad for the majority of Americans; it is NOT that there is high food inflation; it is that you have NOT run the simulations on how to buy your food!
Well, she has! Like, a thousand of them. And she wants you to know that even though you are swimming in money from the tariffs that you apparently waste on childcare and rent, you can still manage to afford food in Turnip's America.
And here is what her simulations tell her:
"So just about an hour ago, I saw new numbers that were run a full day, meaning three full square meals and a snack is about $15.64," she continued. "That's all three meals and a snack. So we'll be talking more about that in the coming days and weeks."

That's right--for only $475.72 a month per person you too can avoid starvation in the world brought to you by Emperor Tangerine and his Republican stooges in Congress!
To be fair: that does include one snack a day, so maybe starvation is too harsh of a word. /s
But what Secretary Happy Meal admits here is that her simulations reveal that it costs a family of four roughly $1900 per month for even a basic amount of food.
So, now that they have these numbers, do you think they will reevaluate SNAP benefits to help people struggling to make ends meet even in this tariff-infused economy awash in abundant jobs and sweet government benefits?
"The average SNAP household received a monthly benefit of $332. Thats $177 per person based on the average SNAP household size of 1.9 people.
Households with children received a larger average monthly benefit of $574 due to the larger average household size of 3.3 people. The average benefit per person for these households was $174."

Wait; what? $174 per month? That's only $1.91 per day. So, the other $13.73 per day is on you I guess.
She probably wants desperately to say "let them eat cake" being a member of THIS Administration's Cabinet, but the average price of a cake in the US is from around $15-$30 for basic grocery store sheet cakes to $60-$120+ for a standard 8-10 inch custom cake--so, yeah, that's not really an option.
I guess the rest of us will just have to get used to "a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, you know, a corn tortilla, and one other thing."
Elections DO have consequences after all.....
