The President of the United States is currently standing on a stage

in front of a gathering of the world's richest people, rambling almost incoherently about how they should give Greenland to him.

That's all he wants. Just an entire country. Just give it to him. "A piece of ice. Cold and poorly located ... It's a very small ask." (ACTUAL QUOTE.)

The good news is that he says he's not going to take it by force, even though he could take it easily, and by the way, he's building battleships which will be 100 times more powerful than the big beautiful battleships that you saw in World War II.

So he just wants the world to give Greenland to him. He needs it. Just give it to him. Also, Canada. He's got big plans for Canada.

Trump has (among other things) made me start to consider the multiverse (an outlandish theory I used to think)..

Surely it would be either extraordinarily bad luck or an indictment of human nature for this to be the sole reality - factory farms, ventilation shutdown, mass extinction, human overpopulation, resource depletion, deforestation, climate change, mass incarceration, holocaust, war, slavery, rape, obscene levels of inequality, climate change, religion over science, Trump..

I feel judged ;-/..like this is the final clear indictment of this entire reality.

Edit: Or a pointless and moronic simulation using “Willow”. As lame and pointless as those llms. I saw an example this very morning. If that is their “ai” (morse, lights, creeps..just daft), zkp whatever, it has reinforces my determination to file complaints offline (to avoid more scams and pile ons). But without sparing any creeps (2011-the present/going forward) nor inadvertently inflicting collateral damage on randoms or anyone decent.

I move slow so I do not break things. But regardless nothing has changed. Today more than ever I consider this atrociously lame as science, exploitative, pointless and a burden on actually good scientists/doctors.

I have had to diy my mental health after my mom’s demise with medical mj and modafinil and both are in a grey area and so I will go to legitimate regulators etc as soon as I can to file complaints and get these things shut down and reported. In particular I would avoid anyone locally whom I came across in 2014-male or female. But it has all been bad with only a few bright spots. This is a drain on my resources.

I was a bit disoriented between 2011-now. Information (even if gleaned in this inelegant way) changes the brain.

This continues to look like stuff I would never ever sign up for-shoddy, exploitative, snoopy and pointless and I am going to file complaints about the use of my street, home and my own status as an extremely annoyed by now defacto research subject. I don’t like second rate science.

I cannot see someone like Kirsten Stade, Paul Ehrlich, William Rees, Madhav Gadgil or even Henrik Mouritsen, Peter Hore, Tejas Thackeray, Bittu Sahgal, Ryan Williams, Yan Lecun, Rollo Carpenter, Timnit Gebru/DAIR, Emily Bender, Kevin Compton, Quentin Stout, Chet Miller, Clayton Dalton, Adam Becker, Rob Phillips, Steve Chu (he is terrifying but if someone like that was involved wielding strict oversight I would trust the science more), Josh Silberg, Dr Fauci, Francis Collins, scientists or doctors I knew or know getting involved in this. Those are scientists or science communicators, conservationists I would trust. I consider them safe. If these foul, large things must exist someone who is not the nightmarish crowd I list must..do something. I plan to abort it where it involved or involves me.

It looks more like the handiwork of the type of corporate Ai/data/VR/metaverse/mixed reality/simulation theory/ shill I would not allow within a 100 yards of my home irl and would block online. I am guessing quantum mysticism will be the next round of bs.

People of this type to be clear (whom I at least consider frauds, yimbies, charlatans or at least somehow too vaguely shady to trust ):

Yimby: Brian Verelli

A whiff of 3-body’s alien type methods/religiosity/enthusiasm from The Discovery Institute type science influencers shilling NFTs and crypto: Sabine Hossenfelder, Bobby Azarian, Melvin Vopson, Robert Lanza, Michael Levine.

Sleazy surveillance/lame social engineering peddling snoops: Alex Pentland, Ben Waber, most of Google/Facebook/Palantir/Musk Inc/Microsoft/Zuckerberg/Bill Gates/Alex Karp/Shyam Sankar/Sundar Pichai/Satya Nadella.

Sleazy, creepy, small business shills: Ragy Thomas, Vincent Palathingal, Chamath Palihapitiya, Balaji Srinivasan, Shalab Kumar, Suhail Doshi, Mitesh Bohra. In order to check this creepy Panopticon of deregulation run by generally creepy and mediocre men exploiting defense contracting and deregulation, complaints have to be filed suing for RTI and bringing back real regulation. In a post Roe world, you have to be really disingenuous to fail to get this.

Creepy “philanthropists”: Reid Hoffman/ Peter Thiel/Clare Wu

Generally somehow objectionable: anyone from the Santa Fe Institute, Baylor (probably Intelligent Design/Creationism shills).

Edtech peddler: Sebastian Thrun

Fraudster: Elizabeth Holmes

Google/Stanford types/MIT Media Lab or at the very least generally annoying: Demi Hassabis, Neri Oxman, Ed Boyden (I don’t care how often he leers out of the pages of Quanta Magazine-he may be a legit scientist unlike most of this dubious crowd but he took money from the MIT Media Lab), Joy Buolamwini (MIT Media Lab and generally annoying), Fei Fei Li, Peter Norvig, Andy Ng, 100 years of bs Ai, Wu-Tsai, Hai, Christopher Manning, Jim Landay.
(outside the natural sciences and maybe with one or two other exceptions, with the exception of Eyal Ophir, Peter Eastman, Paul Ehrlich and Rodolfo Adirzo, a few other pis or hr etc), most everyone associated with Stanford comes off as generally altogether shady, sleazy, suspect and awful and usually with a shitty company in tow.

It is why this type seems to not get that the NIH postdoc isn’t a low rent, gig job. Something those creeps at Google etc are too fatuous and crass to get.

As for these llms or the generally awful patterns an irate human eye notices in combination with how these guys think, they will next claim that mental disorders can be detected in human interaction with digital media and content. Absolute charlatanry. Thesd methods should be banned in medicine on the threat of criminal malpractice and misconduct allegations. Only that will work.

Sobriety peddlers (and probably shills for clarity/vr and other bs) and Reefer Madness bullsitters in the area of mental health: Thomas Insel, Nina Vasan, Smita Das, Keith Humphreys.

Bullshit jobs (lie detectors/emotion ai): Rosalind Picard (Affectiva/SmartEye, wanted to “rehabilitate” Epstein. What is wrong with MIT? No wonder they drove poor Aaron Schwartz to suicide); Aaron Elkins (lie detector).

Random crazies: Max Tegmark, Nick Bostrom, Ray Kurzweil, Marc Andreessen, RFK jr or Maha.

Me Too creeps: Kanury S Rao, Stephen A Morse, Lawrence Krauss, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Padmanabhan Predeep, Walter Lewin, Andy Rubin, Amit Singhal and so many more.

Bullshit tech critics/press: Tristan Harris, Cory Doctorow, EFF, Frances Haugen, creepy traffic snarling attention seeking “artist”, Jonathan Hadit, Derek Thompson, Kevin Roose.

Uncategorised and objectionable: Blippi, Veritasium, Jessica Krause, Stepfanie Tyler, that honey badger person (who strikes me as the type of person these people would consider almost as good as David Attenborough/Chris Packham/Jane Goodall/Dian Fossey. He is not. They are cool. He is on YouTube).

I can’t possibly list every human everywhere I object to. That is too many people. But this is a sample. I am seriously filing complaints.
It is mostly Americans, but I tend to agree with the always cool Andy Nikiforuk that most problems are caused by stupidity which is evenly found in all groups:

https://thetyee.ca/Culture/2025/07/25/Triumph-of-Stupidity/

I was used to thinking of stupidity (mostly just my own) in terms of speed and aptitude for biology, physics, chemistry. Now for over 15 years, I have seen a mind boggling kind of stupidity I couldn’t aspire to. It is almost entirely coming from the private sector and defense contracting.

I have been making do with trickle down infonomics and “Gift of Fear” strategies absent any well-regulated system of trust. I am bloody sick of it..

I do try to be a nice person (I don’t go yelling at service industry workers, students etc, but this is rubbish at the top).
I am exasperated by this lousy gig economy/fake or rubbish ai/gaming/physical ai/hyperscale…

You should at least have the sense to pick your victims for scams better than this..yeesh.
I have my own work to do/life to live and I don’t want to encourage this pointless drivel.

Lina Khan was a step in the right directions. Exploitative data mining hinting it security/cryptography etc with no explanations is bothersome.

Criminal malpractice, misconduct and harassment allegations for extortionate exploitation and violations of property and civil rights alone will bring sanity back. One person is already dead in spite of having had an excellent onc-my mom. This must end withour more influencers/sleuths/“white hats” etc getting away with stalking, harassment, doxxing and privacy violations from inside and outside the system.

I have no information and so little say in this. It is why I provided this extensive list so these sycophantic and bullying systems and attention seeking influencers etc get that it is not neuroses. Even piddly scientists like yours truly do not necessarily buy that someone is awesome and trustworthy just because they have money or work at some flashy, tacky school full of social climbing opportunists.

This has been a huge strain on me. I knew from the moment I first saw it 15 or so years ago that it is something tacky to avoid..too mixed a crowd and the types of people who are..there is no nice way to put..these desperate, opportunistic humans. I am disorganized and distrait and lagging in my own entirely respectable, straightforward work and took and instant and thorough dislike to this drivel and nothing has happened to change that view.

The point of not using Google etc’s methods is that nothing is inevitable their way. I would avoid that present Trump admin crowd, but at some point-4-5 whatever years later when no bullshit beaglegate!!! etc is likely to be pushed, I would give very negative feedback saying..stop aggressively shilling useless robots or rubbish tech trend of the day leeching away resources from people like me who are not going to ever leave their own chosen private path to “engage” with some blatantly disingenuous “conversation”. Never met any people before or what?
You can’t go around stereotyping some random person who is gloomy because they find that Google crowd annoying as a depressive. It has nothing to do with stigma. Disliking random drivel from the private sector is not a mental illness and then taking people hostage from inside the system over marijuana use while shielding all sorts of creeps..It..it is not even evil. Its as if as Nikiforuk said in another piece, these guys really see humans as legos to shuffle around.
I am not interested in your stupid creepy ai and simulations. Imagine if I went around doing this. Just going and taking data from some CS creep’s comp or confusing them with random chaos. It is not entertainment hour.

Altogether awkward and disgraceful. Stay in your creep lanes. It is not anything like a vaccine. Total hucksters. I don’t like talking or engaging. There is nothing to say except “yeah still creepy and shady” and don’t try to blame the public sector or the old NIH or call any rare decent people who try to clean rot up pedo guys etc as that jerk Musk would.
I don’t like what I have seen at all and I am filing complaints the day I have solid info. It is not my labs or colleagues and doctors or anyone I would know. It is the creeps and they need to go annoy just about anyone else.

I am just okay now and the more I get it the less impressed i am. That this one shit field is sucking everything up its arse like that monster in Nope.

0000F5D7 (my ID as the creeps in the system must know; I am an anonymous complainant. I have to go offline to work).

But the more I see him now, the sadder and weaker he looks. He's still spouting most of the same crazy shit that he's always spouted, but there's an extra edge of lunacy to it now.

The worst thing for him though is that he's lost his salesman's energy and brashness. When he had that, he could hypnotize an audience -- he could say almost anything he wanted and people just got this overall impression of strength and confidence. But without it he sounds more like someone rambling to themselves in a corner at the nursing home.

Trump is like drinking 1/2 a gallon of unpasteurized apple cider, eating a bran muffin, and then
getting into a car in a traffic jam on a freeway with no exists for miles. The results will not be
pretty.

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” h l mencken.

this quote explains how this lunatic was elected…….TWICE!

Threatening filthy-rich powerful people from all over the world to just handover a country populated by over 53,000 people (never asking the 53,000 people who in all actually own it.) is brought to you by capitalism.

It's the ever soul crushing grinder behind the scenes in modern nation-wide disputes.

Enjoy the inevitable end stages of capitalism. It will get worse.

And thank the idiotic economists who told you "free" trade was a good thing. Some of them even got Nobel awards for lying to you.

Wed Jan 21, 2026, 12:30 PM
Jan 21

You name it, he's fucked it up.
But his ambitions go far beyond the United States. He believes he can be ruler of the world. 1.5 trillion dollar "defense" budget projected for 2026! That's about 600 billion more than our current defense budget.
Of course we now have a Department of War, not Defense.
That tells you a lot about what his plans are.

The world is hearing a strong echo of Hitler in the words of Trump.

My only hope is that his health fails before he can take us farther down that dark path of destruction.
Something to remember is that the 600 billion more for the Department of War came from all of the programs he cut or trashed altogether. If the 2026 election doesn't put on the brakes, we're going to see even worse devastation both here and abroad in 2027.

His right shoulder was noticeably lower than his left, causing him to lean at an odd angle, and he seemed to be gripping the lectern (or whatever it was) for dear life, presumably to keep from falling over. His voice was raspy, his articulation was mushy, and he seemed to push the words out with a noticeable effort, as he rambled incoherently.

He's obviously in no shape to run a corner hot dog stand, much less the government of a major nation. Every public appearance he makes is more pathetic than the last one. It's embarrassing, shocking, and outrageous that he's being allowed to continue in office in his condition. Watching him makes me want to scream, "SOMEBODY, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ALREADY!!!!! 😱
