The worst part of that speech for me was when he said that NATO has never and would never answer the call for the US

Which as we all know is not only false (the only time Article 5 was invoked was after 9/11 and 18 European countries came to our aid in Afghanistan) but the country who suffered the most in terms of human casualties is the very country he is targeting now, Denmark.

One of the most disgusting things about being a thinking American under Trump is the lies.

do you mean that only the responses in the graphic are acceptable? Or does the requirement have to do with causing antagonism with a statement or something? Because i gotta say, none of those responses are likely to work in a non-partner gaslighting relationship. I am in favor of using a collection of words that will most expediently remove myself permanently from said gaslighters authority and purview. "Fuck you asshole!" with a walk away seems perfectly fine to me, assuming you are not going to get bludgeoned when you turn your back on the gaslighter.

I didn't produce the graphic. And I'm not going to critique your behavior.

Having healthy relationships, went possible, is always the preferred option when trying to work and live in society. I personally prefer to build relationships when possible or give the gift of my absence to those who don't understand that. It's a waste of my life to otherwise engage.

The exchange you are reacting to is specifically between Ray Bruns and me.

at a battered women shelter, and the battered women would all quote their husbands/boyfriends as saying:

If you don't say this or that, I won't have to beat you......it's all YOUR fault I do it...........

One of the counselors told me that most of the work is directed at the woman, who think they deserve it, just like their mothers who were also abused......She said if they can't get through the message that it is NOT them, but him, they will go right back into that relationship, or one similar, because that is what they have been conditioned to thinking/believing all their lives....

I'm very thankful that I had an epiphany. I never got any rest, I was hiding injuries. Crying all the way to work and all the way home. Toward the end , the sound of duck hunter's guns across the branch had me thinking, "If I only had a gun."

He kept telling me repeatedly that he didn't like the smell of my shampoo. So, I kept trying different shampoos. One day I opened the bathroom cabinet and counted 13 different bottles under the sink. He had not thrown any away (typical because he was a cheapskate) and I realized that it didn't matter how many times I changed shampoo, he was going to blame me. It was not me, it was him and if I didn't get out of there soon ...

In the 80's police were still always prioritizing the husband's case and overwhelmingly subjugated the wife. Even with visible injuries, holes in the walls and escalation with every call made by me and the neighbors, he was who they believed. I was the problem.

That day I realized that I couldn't change a thing about myself and make him happy. He was sick. In less than a year, one thing at a time, I secretly planned my escape.

Unfortunately, even then he found me. The emotional abuse and destructive abuse of my home, my property and my family continued until I was able to transfer to another position in another state and I won't say more here but that trauma never really goes away. I was lucky that day. I saw the light, under the bathroom sink.

The outside your body scars and bruises go away, but the ones to your soul never do, (without some psychotherapy).....

My nightmare existence started when I was a young boy of 5, and didn't end until I finally ran away from home.
Often the emotional battering is worse than the physical battering....although they go hand in hand, along with the third kind of abuse.......

I will keep you in my thoughts, and let your goodness shine, with everything you do........

Everyone needs to learn and know how to identify a psychopath. They make up 30% of the general population in the US. Even more exist in power positions in politics and business.

Unfortunately, he's not a lone wolf.

Folks keep wondering why we have 30% of the population that's so deranged and as undemocratic as recalcitrant...

I'd like to offer a suggestion:

Stats on Psychopaths

Psychopathy is a very common
mental disorder. It is twice as
common as schizophrenia,
anorexia, and bipolar disorder.
It is equally common as bulimia,
panic disorder, and autism.
The only mental disorders
significantly more common than
psychopathy are substance abuse
or dependence, depression, and
post-traumatic stress disorder.

Psychopathy affects all
ethnic, cultural, racial,
and socioeconomic groups.

...psychopathy
is a spectrum disorder,

Prevalence in the United States
Approximately 70% of the
population is estimated to
have no psychopathic traits
whatsoever.

Key Point
👇👇👇👇👇👇
The remaining
30% have low, medium, or
high levels of psychopathy.

Characteristics of Psychopaths

1. Aggressive, callous, and cunning
2. Complete absence of conscience and empathy
3. Very adept at manipulating others
4. Willingness to engage in immoral, criminal conduct
5. Willingness to take what they want and do as they please, regardless of who is hurt or wronged
6. Deceptive ability to appear outwardly benevolent
7. Deceptive ability to behave in superficially charming ways to hide purely selfish motives
8. Willingness to use intimidation and violence to control others in order to satisfy their own needs
9. Willingness to intentionally violate the basic inherent human rights of others
10. Complete absence of any sense of guilt or remorse for the harm their actions have caused to others
11. Rationalization of their own immoral behavior
12. Will attempt to lay blame upon someone else for their own conduct
13. Denial, will deny their own wrongdoing outright
14. Utter contemptuousness toward the feelings and desires of their fellow beings
15. Pathological lying, will say anything without any concern for truth to advance their own hidden agendas
16. Ablity to feign [fake] normal human emotions and empathy
17. Distorted sense of the consequences of their actions
18. Total failure to accept any responsibility for their own socially irresponsible ways
19. Strong bellef that they will never be brought to justice for their criminal behavior

*psychopath indicates that the disorder has a genetic basis, sociopath, that the basis is societal. I'm unequivocal in my stance because of his familial history and because of the expanded knowledge of the genetics of mental health disorders that supports the notion. He has benefited (his pathology is exacerbated and sustained) from and by the support for his psychopathic personality by the many other psychopaths that exist among us in the US population.

Add that to his early declaration:

Don't trust anything you read, see or hear. Trust only me. Only I can fix it.

Set it to music and it's the Cult's anthem.
