Beware counter-resistance disinformation.

As Tad Stoermer has discussed, one particularly insidious form of counter-resistance disinformation is phoney "great news." (e.g., like this Republican leadership takes a stand AI fake).

Before sharing any kind of "great news" make sure it is true. The point of this type of disinformation is to spark an outpouring of hope and excitement that will inevitably be crushed when the lie is exposed -- leaving people more hopeless and immobilized than before.
