Pride in Our Country

There was a lot said about Judy Garland, but damn, that woman could sing. All alone on a stage, holding a mic. Watching as a child in 1964, and now today, this gives me pride in all of America. We can do it.

1. This should be our national anthem, instead of a militaristic one that glorifies a war victory.

2. I feel the same way, America the Beautiful glorifies what we're literally made of and what we return to.

Whereas the Star Spangled Banner glorifies combat or war, and only two references to the "land of the free and home of the brave."
