Trump says individuals will soon be prosecuted for 2020 election

Trump has repeatedly and falsely claimed that former President Joe Biden did not actually win the 2020 presidential election.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said individuals will soon be prosecuted for their role in what he called the “rigged 2020 election,” continuing his fixation on an election he lost.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump said “everybody now knows that” the 2020 presidential election was rigged and “people will soon be prosecuted for what they did.“

Trump did not elaborate on who will be prosecuted or with what crimes they would be charged with, and The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The DOJ is all too happy to stretch the law and the facts to avenge Dump's grievances.

In the upside down world of MAGA, Dump and the January 6th "hostages" were victims of persecution by the Biden administration. Their civil rights were supposedly violated, and Dump has directed the DOJ to negotiate and pay him a $250 million in damages. The statute of limitations doesn't protect those who tried to bring Trump and his henchmen to justice.

If Dump, Bondi and Patel can put the full weight of the US government behind vindictive prosecutions, the process can be punishment all by itself.

Where the truth is whatever Dump says it is, people like James Comey and Jerome Powell can be prosecuted for "lying."

At Davos, this wasn’t strength. It was exposure. A president still ranting about a “rigged” election he lost, promising prosecutions he can’t name, repeating lies long buried by courts and facts. That’s not resolve. That’s obsession slipping into public view. People didn’t hear authority—they heard instability.

And the point isn’t the past. It’s the setup. Scream fraud forever, rot trust in elections now, and when you lose again you can say, see, I warned you. That’s the play. Manufacture doubt, threaten punishment, and rule by fear when legitimacy fails. This isn’t governance. It’s a man trying to stay in power by burning the system to the fucking ground.
