yelling "Do something"! His choices are slim. I get that everyone is beyond angry-I am too- but the minute he would call in the National Guard to protect protesters Trump will federalize them, invoke the insurrection act, and army troops will be on the streets. Then a lot more people will be at risk of getting shot. I think the other blue state Governors (Pritzker, Newsom, Mills, Kotek) have a similar concern. I think they would like the outrage on the Minneapolis occupation (and other states fed occupation) spread across the country (and internationally) to put pressure on the administration. But I also think that Trump invoking the insurrection act may just happen anyway as this is what he wants and ICE keeps escalating. But I don't think a blue state should force it to happen if we can help it.

Minnesotan here...I'm not optimistic. I never thought my retirement would be during wartime...
