It’s easier to go door to door and nab darker people. This is all about Somalian immigrants right now. They’ll scale up over time and ratchet it up against other groups.

they as well as the NG were not happy about it. Finally the courts shot down the use of NG in some states, although D.C. has been thrust upon with excess NGs.

Now they want to bring in thousands of soldiers into Minnesota but in order to do that they would have claim the insurrection act.

But alas, the current government is the republican party and in my opinion are the actual insurrectionists.

They’re still grabbing people in LA and SD from what I’ve read. I haven’t seen them in my neck of the woods, but I have a feeling they’ll ratchet it back up at some point. LA is huge and every other person is a shade of brown. Easier to target minorities in a whiter city like Minneapolis or Portland (or a state like Maine).

As much as he hates Newsom, I think he hates Walz, Omar, and Somalians (and pretty much all African immigrants) even more.

An abhorrent national Stephen Miller style skin color cleansing, an attempt to cause maximum chaos and financial damage to blue cities/states and an opportunity to decrease voter turnout for the midterm elections.

Going after the worst of the worst. That would involve significant danger and Bovino and his henchmen aren’t about that at all. This is performative, with an occasional license to kill.

https://www.newsweek.com/pam-bondi-ice-minnesota-shooting-tim-walz-letter-voter-files-11413859]

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz demanding the state take three specific actions before federal immigration agents would consider reducing their presence in Minneapolis, including handing over voter rolls.

In the letter, Bondi blamed both state and local leaders for the unrest that has come in response to the Trump administration's immigration enforcement operations. She said that Walz could "restore the rule of law."
...
Bondi set out a list of three demands in the letter, including that the Department of Justice be given the state’s voter registration records, that the state repeal the "sanctuary policies," and share its records on Medicaid, and Food and Nutrition Service programs.

Trump/Bondi demand the state repeals "sacntuary policies", information on who gets state aid and voter information from Walz. States run their elections, not the federal government. Demanding voter information is a political goal. ICE is not doing immigration investigations, they have been unleashed, and possibly ordered to do violence and intimidation on the public. They are committing crimes of violence.

What Trump/Bondi/Noem/Bovino/Miller are doing IS TERRORISM.

Or Newsome. It's targeted and designed to get in your head. Don't let it. Don't give these people more power than they actually have. Stand strong and remember the bulk of this regime is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Chicago. Both Pritzker and Newsom beat them back with difficulty.

Everyone dismisses it when it happens on the west coast or in a large city like Chicago.
Portland and Seattle have been dealing with Trump's agitators and brown shirts since at least 2020.

I'm not downplaying certain localized impacts, but think about it. Did that fucking with in LA really impact the lives of the vast majority of Angelenos and surrounding cities? No. The majority of us have never even seen an ICE thug except on TV or the internet. My point is, it's smoke and mirrors meant to get inside our heads and cause fear. Don't let them do that.

In simple physical terms, there aren't enough of them. ~22K ICE goons, if you believe their numbers, in a nation of 343 MILLION people. Most of that 22K is either fictitious or office personnel not doing actual raids. There's just not enough of them. Yes, they can damage or destroy certain individual lives, but for the vast majority of us it's all perception not substance. And that perception only has power if we believe it. Don't believe it.

Sun Jan 25, 2026, 10:55 AM
Jan 25

a) the states with the highest numbers of immigrants are also the states with the highest overall populations, and b) that data set is several years old.

Top 10 most populous states in order;

California
Texas
Florida
New York
Pennsylvania
Illinois
Ohio
Georgia
North Carolina
Michigan

Of course large states California or Texas would have substantially more immigrants than a state like Vermont or South Dakota.

an immigration enforcement crackdown. Without any scare quotes.

They are seemingly buying into the maladministration's story that this has anything to do with enforcing immigration rules. It has more to do with Lyin' Liferaft Lips' anxiousness to ingratiate herself to the Diapered Despot, enforcing a temperamental toddler's tantrum.
