(80,561 posts)We know that Trump will NOT bring them Justice but I hope that the State of Minnesota is able to do bring the ones who killed these good folks to Justice.
This is heart-shattering. I keep thinking of his family & friends.
Neither Alex Pretti nor Renee Good did anything to deserve being murdered.
We demand JUSTICE for them and their loved ones.

(11,212 posts)Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
My older brother died of cancer when I was 12. I saw what that did to my parents. My heart breaks for the Pretti family esp.,his parents. I hope the pride and love they feel for their son, a healer, will help in a small way to lessen their immense sorrow and anger.
To me he is a hero.

(17,399 posts)For many years, this man stood the watch
While some of us were in our bunks at night this man stood the watch
While some of us were in school learning our trade, this man stood the watch
Yes.. even before some of us were born into this world, this man stood the watch
In those years when the storm clouds of war were seen brewing on the horizon of history, this man stood the watch
Many times he would cast an eye ashore and see his family standing there
Needing his guidance and help
Needing that hand to hold during those hard times
But he still stood the watch
He stood the watch so that we, our families and our fellow countrymen could sleep soundly in safety, each and every night, knowing that this man stood the watch
Today we are here to say
'... the watch stands relieved
Relieved by those You have trained, Guided, and Led.
Patriot you stand relieved.. we have the watch..."
"Boatswain..Standby to pipe the side...Hero going Ashore.."

(17,399 posts)It's a poem that you hear sometimes at military funerals, or retirements.
I served 28.5 years in the Navy, but Mr. Alex Pretti showed more dedication to our Constitution and the values of service, honor, courage and commitment to humanity in 48 seconds than I ever did.

(77,124 posts)We need a general strike ASAP.
A general strike is going to be hard on many of us, esp those with families and jobs and mortgages,
BUT, it is time!
Prepare yourself ahead of time so that you can pull yourself through with the least amount of disruption and pain.
It wouldn't have to last but a few days before we scare the Tar out of the Epstein/PrezPedo cabal.

(12,510 posts)I've watched this video three times and choked up each time.
This appears to be a watershed moment breaking the back of these thugs posing as law enforcement. Protests all over the country, outcries even from Republicans. A step too far, an act too despicable.
This is an act of depravity even the lies cannot erase.
These bastards need to pay! Agent Orange's hands are bloodied and grotesque.
Minnesota leads the way with grit and grace and grief.
This is a moment the country stands in solidarity. This was an execution in broad daylight.

Apparently they found this video from around the Covid era. Not sure how reliable any of that is.
It is very moving how much respect and honor they show their patients. Such impressive people.
