I thought I had a good idea and also thought it would generate more discussion.
This is having to do with our veterans of past wars and service - joining in on the protests against ICE.
I realize that many of our Vets are elderly and might not be able to participate in such a protest - but across this land there are many Vet organizations like VFW - where I got to believe that many of those Vets - don't share what is happening across our nation.
The targeting and murdering of American Citizens - that these same Vets - swore allegiance and took the oath to protect our nation.
Here is a chance for them to re-engage and sit on the front lines again to rid ourselves of this travesty that is taking place - as we sit here and watch our government lie to us and tell us lies and things we didn't see with our own eyes.

(7,947 posts)When it appeared that the bonus would not be paid, many of the marchers refused to leave, and President Hoover ordered the Army to evict them. Using tear gas, tanks, and a troop of saber-wielding cavalry commanded by Major George S. Patton, U.S. Army chief of staff General Douglas MacArthur drove the marchers out of Washington and burned their main camp on the Anacostia Flats.
