Greg Bovino getting pulled out of Minnesota to terrorize another community is not accountability. At all.

I fear for the residents of the next big Dem city he is going to.

Killed, kidnapped, injured, terrorized people.
Lost the local economy a great deal of money.

They are happy and a message was sent to all liberal cities.

is a loss for them - for what it's worth - as this wasn't planned. They didn't expect such blowback.

Trump loves it that he made people frightened and angry.
He is a sadist, he gets off on it.

He is a typical psychopath. He will now move on to his next victim.

He goes in and assaults, rapes, kills when the opportunity is there or someone tells him to do it.
But it doesn't matter to him who he assaults.
All victims are the same.

But I think it will hurt his lackeys and they will see it as defeat.

to their demands for changes in state law regarding protections for immigrants and others, and giving them our voter records so they could meddle with our elections. They did not succeed.

These ass holes don’t even care about the optics.

They’re proud of all of the destruction. That’s why I don’t think it’s a distraction to Epstein. They’re fine with that too.

just saw this post on bluesky which articulates my feelings about this better than I could....... this is being done to get protestors and the media to back off, but no one should be naive enough to think that the brutality and terrorism of ICE is going to stop.......

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Nicole Bedera (@nbedera.bsky.social) 2026-01-26T23:35:45.955Z

The problem with symbolic compliance isn’t just that they fall short of ending violence.

It’s also that people duped by the symbols will switch sides to defend the oppressor, emboldening them to become more violent and violate more civil rights than before.

Nicole Bedera (@nbedera.bsky.social) 2026-01-26T23:37:04.834Z

So keep pushing. Anything short of ICE’s abolition isn’t nearly enough.

And I’d say that even ICE’s abolition should only be the start of ending the violence that came to feel “normal” under Trump.
