Trump takes a victory lap on Fox: "We've had an amazing record-setting year, we're doing great, the best, the best ever"

During an interview on Fox News’ The Will Cain Show on Tuesday, Trump puzzled over why the president’s party historically fares poorly in the midterms.

“Nobody can explain why,” he said. “You know, even when we’ve had an amazing year, this has been a record-setting year in every way. Nobody can explain, even presidents, whether it’s Republican or Democrat, when they win, it doesn’t make any difference, they seem to lose the midterms.”

The 79-year-old president then claimed, “Hopefully we are going to change that around, we are doing great, we have the best polling numbers we have ever had, we have the best numbers in the country.”

However, most polls show that a significant majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance, and on critical issues such as the economy, his numbers sink even further.

The madness gets deeper and deeper every day. I think his cabinet could have easily flipped that 25th Amendment switch LAST YEAR.

We all remember George W Bush. NOT "intellectually curious," NOT "an avid reader." Short attention span. Didn't read things like that "Bin Laden Determined to strike in the U.S." security briefing.

Each day, his chief of staff, Andy Card, burned a DVD for him from the day's Fox "News" broadcasts.

That's how and where he got his "news."

Didn't read a paper, didn't watch other news sources. Watched his "Fox highlights reel" from Andy.

Trump's worse. He demands pictures and graphs and as few words as possible and that was in his FIRST term. I've GOT to assume that's only gotten worse.

And he has a "slam the door shut" mind when it comes to the feelings or needs of others.

He went on National TV and YELLED AT AMERICA for not "appreciating him" enough, for "buying into the Democrat Affordability Hoax," just like he called COVID the "new Democrat hoax," saying the cases were limited to a couple of sick people who came here on a plane from Hong Kong, and that after Easter, when the weather warmed up, it would all magically disappear.

Except what happened next was that 400,000 people died of COVID on his watch.

It's not so much that he "doesn't know." It's that he doesn't CARE, which means he doesn't WANT to know. He hears it, because he is obsessive in an OCD kind of way of listening to the daily news to catch ANY MENTION OF HIMSELF. So that means he hears all the other news items too, and dismisses the ones that don't stroke his ego and fail to adhere to the fictional, fantasy land image he's crafted of himself.

We're getting the daily betting pool on how much longer Noem will have a job.

Problem there is that if he cans her, it makes it look like he made a mistake by choosing her, so that will be a last-ditch move if it happens at all.

Same with Kash Patel, using the FBI jet as his personal Uber, giving Secret Service rides home to his girlfriend's drunk friends, etc etc etc. So he's either gotten more crafty at flying under the radar OR has scaled it back.

The complicating factor with Noem is that her "defense" was that she acted on orders from Miller and Trump and neither of them will stand for being thrown under the bus by an adulterous Botox puppy killer. THEY do the "THROWING." If she'd kept her mouth shut and didn't play the "It's not my fault" card, I'd say there was a stronger chance of keeping the job.
