NEW: A diplomatic controversy has erupted in Copenhagen after the U.S. Embassy removed 44 Danish flags honoring the 44 D

The Trump Admin has a world -wide reputation of lying!!
I am glad to see the Danes make a big issue of this.

NEW: A diplomatic controversy has erupted in Copenhagen after the U.S. Embassy removed 44 Danish flags honoring the 44 Danish soldiers killed during the war in Afghanistan.

The flags were placed by Danish veterans in flower boxes on a public road outside the U.S. Embassy, shortly after Donald Trump criticized allied forces’ contributions in Afghanistan during a Fox News interview.

In a written response to Danish broadcaster TV 2, the U.S. Embassy said the flags were removed because they were not installed by embassy staff nor formally coordinated, adding that it is standard practice to remove unauthorized objects and that there was no malicious intent.

However, Danish media report that embassy security staff were aware of the flags and initially approved their placement, raising questions about the embassy’s explanation.

The removal has triggered strong political backlash across party lines in Denmark. Multiple lawmakers have called the action disrespectful, “indecent,” and “insensitive,” noting that Denmark fought alongside the U.S. in Afghanistan and suffered one of the highest per-capita casualty rates among coalition partners.

Copenhagen officials are now examining whether the embassy had the legal right to remove the flags from a public roadway. A demonstration and five-minute silence in honor of the fallen Danish soldiers is planned outside the embassy this weekend.

that these people who are supposed to be diplomats have no idea whatsoever how to behave and comport themselves in polite society. This ambassador must have been raised in the gutter. He is a GUEST in someone else's country and he behaves like a spoiled brat who can't adapt to the country he is living in. He's an embarrassment. But then, so is his boss. Obviously, I expect too much.

Their toddler tantrums and snit fits are so friggen infantile. Somebody spank the lil whiners.

Doesn't Trump realize this makes him look even more impotent than we know, and he knows, he is?

This was a malicious act all the way.

It's always been my experience that 'no malicious intent '
is always stated at any level of government response.
It's a favorite of insurance companies too, when they don't want to pay on a claim.

44 months around the U.S. Embassy or install 44 speedbumps around the Embassy to honor those 44 heros. Childish but effective. Construction near or around any of the Felons properties could begin immediately around the world and end coincidentally at the end of his term.
Please, get creative. Maybe outdoor shooting ranges or Skeet clubs near his golf clubs? Golfers would love that.

Gay clubs kinda rock. Good tunes happy people that just want to have fun. Unlike my neighborhood bar where every other person is looking for a challenge.

But I like where you sent my mind. Happy thought.

I stopped for a cold drink at a little refreshment stand near the statue of The Little Mermaid. The proprietor, realizing we were American, stepped aside to show us a photo of Bill Clinton that was hanging on the back wall. He was so proud and excited that BC had stopped there and allowed his picture to be taken.

I think of the gentleman whenever I hear mention of Copenhagen or Denmark and can't help but believe there will never be a photo of trump anywhere near his little stand.
