Democrats Need A United Message For DHS Funding
Democrats, stop talking in generalities, get specific.
1. Separate DHS funding from the rest of the funding Bill
2. Agents need to have uniforms that are marked with the organization, uniforms only marked POLICE is not good enough.
3. No masks, name tags must be worn, and agents must have body cams.
4. When agents shoot and or kill citizens the local and state police must be allowed to participate with the Feds. Local and state police must have access to all evidence collected, must have access to the crime scene, ICE is not permitted to investigate ICE shootings, only a separate group like the FBI is permitted to investigate shootings.
5. Which is part of #4. Local and state law enforcement must be allowed to investigate and work with the FBI in the Renee Good and Alex Pretti killings.
After these 5 demands have been met then Democrats will sit down and negotiate DHS funding.
Democrats, I'm a nobody so I'm sure you have better ideas than mine but get out a coherent unified message, do not allow Magats to control the narrative, tie the Good and Pretti investigations to funding, that is a strong talking point. If Magats refuse to allow local and state investigations then zero funding.
