****Breaking News**** DOJ Charges MAGA Who Attacked Ilhan Omar

The Justice Department filed charges Thursday against a man who allegedly tried to spray Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., with a substance from a syringe during a town hall in Minneapolis this week.

Anthony Kazmierczak faces a count alleging that he “forcibly assaulted, opposed, impeded, intimidated and officer and employee of the United States” while she was engaged in official duties.

Besides, if DOJ leaves this to the locals, he can't be pardoned by trump THE INSTANT he's found guilty.

This is ass-covering, they're just (finally maybe) getting better at calling it Something Else.

Does nobody proof read anymore?

I thought maybe it was an NBC typo, but the ABC coverage has the same typo:

https://abcnews.go.com/US/man-faces-federal-assault-charge-attack-rep-ilhan/story?id=129675896

Anthony Kazmierczak, 55, has been charged with "forcibly assaulted, opposed, impeded, intimidated and officer and employee of the United States," according to the federal complaint.

So maybe the error is in the original. I'm no lawyer, can the charges be dismissed because of a typo?

Of punctuation.

Just more of their idiocy and possibly haste at creation of the document with poor proof reading.

An AI proofreading program may not catch that and humans rarely proof read anymore. Plus stress can affect visual processing.

The RWNJs are testing the system to find weaknesses when they begin targeted assassinations of Democratic office holders and leaders. This time was to get close enough and to test the response time of security. The next time will be to smuggle in weapons and see if they are detected. The last time will be to assassinate the target.

This is NOT some back-page story. In the past, when we had independent media and news organizations that actually INVESTIGATED stories, this would have been a plum assignment. Now? I see more chatter about Bezos bankrolling "Melania" for $35M than actual reporting. Pathetic.

Seems totally plausible. Oxy-rush lover limbaugh really ginned those dipshits up.

And the media? PBPBPBPSHHH. There's more time devoted to news broadcasts with fewer stories being covered. The availability of true journalism has been a casualty of the reich-wing scare machine.

No, this is just the kind of thing that does not need a payroll or membership vote to foster assassinations. Just gin up the hate, broadcast the efforts, play down the humanity of the targets and let the bigotry and malice take over...

Imagine the outrage and uproar if someone had done similar to Noem or Bovino or Miller... compare and contrast.

This nation is in the darkest place its been since 1865, and the people in charge are NOT concerned with the republic or the Constitution or the opposition. In fact, they are arresting reporters to intimidate others. They are labelling murder victims as 'domestic terrorists' and they are flooding the zone with everything imaginable to avoid answering for ANY of this (or releasing files on previous pedos and rapists and criminals).

I have seen this film before (in Russian and the original German) and the ending is always the same - jail, dehumanize, gravity-assisted suicides from high windows, and out right murder when necessary.

This kind of stochastic terroristic threat needs to be taken seriously. And it is not paranoid to think some nut with a rudimentary knowledge of chemistry and biology may be motivated to try something like this but with lasting consequences to the intended target and bystanders. The poisoning of dissidents in Russia comes to mind. How about a cup of polonium tea or giving someone a virus?

Everyone knows drain cleaner is dangerous and every supermarket sells it.
HCl is available at every hardware store.
It doesn't require knowing how to make a lachrymator or nerve agent to be a major threat.

thatn the brown slush that builds up on urban street corners between snow storms. It's nasty but the most dangerous component of it is the green salt they spread on streets to melt the ice.

Almost twice my pension for thirty years of nursing. And he is allied with the party which wants to get rid of disability benefits.
