(17,499 posts)It was about not going to work, school or buying any thing. I did not shop at all today but because I'm retired and don't go to school that's about all I could contribute. Tomorrow is the 2nd No Kings protest across the country. I heard about both of these efforts well enough in advance.

compared to what I actually bought--- so seems my visit was a 'net loss' for the store.

We are a very consumerist society that even if we exclude the above examples and mostly focus on not. buying things we don't need it can be effective.

(25,247 posts)The reason was not just solidarity with the general strike. It was just too freaking cold to go out, with a high temperature of 16F with nasty winds. I bought a pizza the day before so it'll last me the entire weekend.
