It was cold but were Michiganders
what a little cold? Organizers didnt want any injuries due to the weather so it was only a little over an hour long. West Branch, Michigan. Indivisible quick protest.

mittens stopped that. I do have an idea to share though.
We were in the middle of making our signs and an idea struck
no signs. Using a little northern experience we painted some old oversized t-shirts I use for working in the field. Over our coats it was another layer of warmth and an easy way to get out the message.

ice chunks were all we could stand on. The irony was appreciated.

(4,470 posts)I am still dealing with a shoulder injury I got from holding signs in 2 No Kings day protests in last spring and summer...holding a sign against the wind for a couple of hours can do some real damage on older shoulders. I'll pick up some of those Ts at Michaels and get to work...so much easier to store than poster board!

(13,037 posts)The big sizes are an easier fit over jackets or coats allowing for better access to pockets.
The wind was a consideration we were going to use styrofoam board this time instead of poster board, but the shirt idea came up
off to the races.
