'Serious concern': ICE agents who wear masks are driven by the threat of doxing, Pa. Sen. John Fetterman tells Fox News

U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D., Pa.) on Sunday defended Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials who wear masks to obscure their faces, arguing that doxing is a “serious concern” for agents.

“The agents wearing masks, I think primarily that’s driven by people are going to dox those people. That’s a serious concern, too, absolutely,” Fetterman said in an interview with Jacqui Heinrich on Fox News’ The Sunday Briefing..

We don't have secret police in a free country, period. The only way for the public to hold public officials accountable is if their identities are known.

about whether their identities were known. The city cops and county sheriffs wear visible badges with numbers and they don't wear masks. Even when they behave badly we are allowed to know who they are. It's the fact that ICE agents aren't easily identified that gives them that much more permission to behave like thugs.

There was an article here last week that quote several people who’ve investigated or covered those groups who are certain it’s the same people.

Without masks and had zero problems that the regular law enforcement don't have . . . Did he? Fuck no, because it would make him look stupid or worse a complete shill. But anyway . . .

ICE deported millions under Obama and Biden just fine. None of this BS drama.

Every cop in our town has a name plate & no mask.
Every county cop, same thing.
Every state cop, same.
The big cities in the Chicago market, the same.
If they are responsibly doing their job, why is there a concern over being identified?
800,000 cops in the US are unmasked & clearly identifiable.
Fetterman's concern is illogical.

...by the society they are assaulting. I've always thought that was one reason for masking themselves-- they're ashamed-- but I also think they hope to inspire more terror by concealing any humanity from their victims. A faceless attacker is all the more fearsome. I'm surprised they don't cover their eyes more often, too.

If they weren't doing anything shameful, or potentially prosecutable, they'd have nothing to fear from their identities being known.
