We are living in a demonstration of the Dunning - Kruger effect

"The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with limited knowledge or competence in a domain greatly overestimate their own knowledge or competence. Proposed by psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger in 1999, it occurs because lacking expertise also deprives individuals of the ability to recognize their own incompetence. Conversely, experts may underestimate their abilities."

There were anti-war signs all over the city.

I was eating my supper at a Ruby Tuesdays one night and my 19 year old waitress told me she knew all about life, I was all ears.

She says, smart people know that they are stupid but stupid people don't know that they're stupid, and Bush is stupid,

That was a bit of a jolt because I found the people of Chile to be almost shy.

One of the first things I did when I arrived in Chile was to let them know I hated Bush and Republicans, they were still very pissed about Pinochet.

Self awareness is gifted to some, and hard won by many. And the rest are MAGA?
