So Trump Is Going to Shut Down the Kennedy Center for "Remodeling?"

Cool. He messed around and drove performing artists from that venue, so he's going to shut it down. What comes next?

I'll tell you: The Smithsonian complex. The various venues there are trying to tell a story of history, whether it's of evolution and the material development of our planet or it's the story of Black American History. The Smithsonian contains lots of stories that Trump doesn't like.

So, shut it down for a few years for "remodeling." Why not. It's not, you know, "Hot."

Let's see, what else? How about the National Park System. All that wasted space that could be developed into money-making resorts, mines, oil exploration and who knows what else. Why make them attractions for the plebes? The rich and powerful need getaways even more, so let's just lock the gates and shut them down. They could be converted into Trump-branded amusement parks and casinos.

I'm sure there are more potential targets for being shut down, as well.

Who needs that crap, anyhow? Yeah, that's the ticket.

God forbid that there will be any actual remodeling, since that would probably consist in gluing gilded faux-baroque foamcore thingamajigs from Hobby Lobby on every available surface and installing a golden statue of himself in the foyer.
