ANybody know what 403 Forbidden means when you try to post something?

I just tried to post something from here:
Trump And (Almost) His ENTIRE Cabinet/ Broligarch Posse Are EVERYWHERE In The New Epstein Files Dump
https://deanblundell.substack.com/p/trump-and-almost-his-entire-cabinet

and got this: 403 forbidden
and it wouldln't let me post

Anyone know what this is about?

2. That is a list of what all a site administrator can do, some can't be done by a regular user like you and I

Generally speaking a 403 is a permissions issue and it means whatever you're trying to hit, page-wise, EXISTS (i.e. the url points at a real place, typically a page but can be another resource) but you don't have permission to access it. It also means that error is not handled gracefully in the site code, which usually means it's a somewhat atypical failure case such that nobody coded full error handling/error messaging.

An occasional 403 is not usually a big deal.

Seems to me that when there's a glitch anywhere along the very long chain of things that happen on an internet connection that you don't see, you'll get a 403. Could be a router along the way, cloudflare having hiccups, a heavy load on the DU servers or their database.

ALSO, very sneaky --- there are certain characters in a post that will upset the DU firewall. No fooling. Several of us have found that by deleting some quote sign, ">" sign or who knows what, the post goes through.

In short, it's magic and either wait for the magician (or nasty elf) to get off stage or try some tricks of your own.

and maybe other stuff.

Posting on DU Community Help might get EarlG's attention sooner.

Good luck.
Copy your typing and save it in a text editor so these glitches won't wipe it out.
Don't ask me how I know about this.

7. Thanks. I already deleted the post but given everything that is going on these days, I got paranoid. Glad to know

it's a computer thing and not something more nefarious.

in the subject line. That's why I had to use / and / instead of quotation marks. Don't know what else to say, am Low Tech, and those Steps to fix (above) are automatic NO/s for me.

*** Intuitively speaking, if it happens to more than an individual it wouldn't be somebody's cache problem, no?
