The demands from the Dems are weak, they are not demanding that ICE remove Facemasks

"Democrats are demanding changes to how immigration officers carry out arrests and incidents are investigated, as well as mandating the use of body cameras and other reforms."

No brainer for the government to impose, even for liability reasons. I don’t know why this is apposed.

I heard an interview with Stella Carlson, the pink coat lady, & apparently after the Pretti shooting ICE moved the crowd down the street & taped the scene off. A shop owner opened their doors & the crowd went in, Stella, too, & soon after someone said, "They're looking for the woman in the pink coat." She switched coats with someone else & got her video secured. At the time of the interview, she still didn't have her coat back, but they were working on it.

"They're looking for the woman in the pink coat." A US citizen exercising her first amendment rights. Now Don Lemon has been arrested.

4 time crosser here. The celebration was brutal.
I agree, we are way past play nice. Those assholes should also pay all damage to vehicles and medical bills for the citizens they attack before finding them to be innocent.
This Vet is ready to fulfill my oath. I did not serve for us to be here. Not afraid to die to not be under this shit.
Fuck them all!!! Apologies for that language. That is from two 7 month missions aboard a DDG destroyer with all make crews.
Never could have dreamed our great country would fold so easily to this madness.
I will Never stand for the anthem or salute the flag under this regime.
Calm seas, smooth sailing brother.
We are at General Quarters and MUST man our battle stations. All hands on deck.

Keep scrolling down, you'll see section of the article you linked to, entitled:

"Democrats want to mandate that agents display clearer identification, not cover their faces and wear body cameras."

Sen. James Lankford, an Oklahoma Republican who sits on the homeland security committee, said he did not see a need for any further policy changes. He noted that the current DHS funding bill awaiting a vote already includes additional funding for body cameras and oversight.

"I don't see one that's needed above and beyond what's already there," Lankford said.

you based your claim on something Lankford said about a bill, without taking the time to actually see what the bill includes? Why would you do that?

I think are important:

First, on a Democratic site, using a quote from a republican to attack Democrats as weak has never worked well for anyone in the 20+ years I've been here. I can't say if it might have pre-2003, but I doubt it.

Second, we are at a point where we benefit from rational, factual discussions, rather than appeals to emotion. I say this as someone who thinks there are serious issues involving some Democrats in office, just as some others here think there are issues with those Democrats I favor. Obviously, they are wrong (grin), but it's a big tent party. Yet the big tent should not be open for misinformation.

on our reps to not compromise on this, I would rather ICE not use body cameras as most is being recorded
by protesters and there is no guarantee they will turn the cameras on BUT no masks and actual faces give more accountability

of agents for more transparency. From the story, "Democrats want to mandate that agents display clearer identification, not cover their faces and wear body cameras."

Although I'm the first to admit I may have missed something which contradicts that.
